alright i searched but maybe didn't use the right terms. so if this is a repost if you can point me int he right direction to a thread that would be great..

im in the process of completely gutting my car and all that will be going in is cage, seats, and dash. im wanting to delete all of the unused plugs and extra wiring that is on my chassis harness( auto seat belts, ac, etc...) just wondering if anyone has done this and could give me any advice? i was planning on just using the wiring diagrams and marking all the plugs that i will be using so i make sure i don't delete them. any relays or anything i need to watch out for that you guys know of?

thanks

i just finished this project, study the fsm and learn what all of the plugs are. then remove the harness and label all the plugs you need, then i cut the rest and de-pinned them from the smj. the service manual will definitely become your best friend so STUDY and make diagrams. You will need to learn to solder correctly as well.

no problem, it took me about 2 months to relocate my fuse box and eliminate most of the unnecessary wiring from the engine room harness, i'd say it was worth not rubbing through the harness and the engine bay looks much cleaner.

im actually not planning on moving my fuse boxes just yet. im just trying to get all of the unnecessary wires out of the inside of the car.
