OMFG. For the past 4 days I've had my tranny on/off twice because first time I didn't put throwout bearing on right. OK, now, second install time, everythings perfect. Align my pedal perfect, perfect freeplay and all. Clutch slips like a bitch. Please note I put on new flywheel/clutch/pressure plate/slave cylinder/throwout bearing/gearbox fluid/master cylinder fluid. I played with that alignment at least 10 turns in each direction, no such luck. It slips no matter what I do, got absolutely no grease on the flywheel/clutch/pressure plate, properly greased to bearing and all contact points and ****. WTF DID I DO WRONG?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I'm so ****ed at this **** I could stick a hand grenade underneath the damn car and just walk away. Car is a 98 Nissan 240sx. Please for the love of god help.

Seems as though you know what you are doing.

Hand gernade? I will be happy to take it off your hands anytime..

All BS aside..

Only possable things I can think of:

Grease from TO bearing. (obviously not the case here)

Incorrect TO bearing install overstreed the PP springs and they are not allowing for full engagement.

Wrong clutch disk thickness for your pressure plate (a packaging mistake, you check the numbers against your packing slip/invoice/actual item?)

Tranny not bolted all the way up to the seal on back of engine.

(bleeding and such has to do with disengagement so it is NOT the slave or the clutch master cylinder fluid/ bleeding at all but the cylinder could be jammed.)

The bearing fork got bent due to the improper install of the bearing to begin with and it is not allowing the full release of the pressure plate springs

Bearing fork installed backwards by mistake.

Slave is not bolted in correctly or not pushing back all the way..debris in the slave can jam it, and it will not fully release.

Slave piston is dislodged from the fork cup.

Bearing is hanging on the shaft not allowing weakened springs to press the system together. Shaft burr or damage.

Ok, one of those..and that is all it could be actually.

I personally can not think of anything else at all.

Look at the fork to slave situation..unbolt the slave cyl and see if their is serious pressure there..if so, the fork is phucked...if not, then the PP is not pressing hard enough due to the clutch not being thick enough or the PP springs being damaged, or not seating right on the springs, or the shaft is not letting the bearing to slide properly.

Remember, the slave may now have a bent piston or a burr, take it apart, if you can take the piston out, no problem..if not..it is kinked in there and you gotta replace it.

I feel at this time, it is either a fork/slave issue, or a fork bearing/shaft issue.

Take the slave off and see if it is pressurized hard against the fork..not letting it [email protected]!!
