Ok so basically I bought a car that was previously autotragic and there is only an engine harness. Now this is where Frankenstein kind of comes into play. Here are the parts I am using

1. S13 KA24de
2. 97 Transmission
3. 95 Wiring Harness
4. Divorced 97 Tranny Harness (transmission harness removed from lower engine harness.

Basically I gotta figure out what I need to do as far as wiring because I have been reading through the walk through guides. I don't have the auto harness, only have the 5speed harness setup off my old car. Now looking at some of the pictures and my engine bay, I have a row of connectors that make absolutely NO sense to me with what parts I have.

I'll start with a picture of what I'm looking at and what is shown on the walk throughs.

So in that picture you see the row of connectors. Now I know my manual transmission harness connects to one of them...

Beyond that I am totally lost. The walkthrough talks about jumping them and connecting them and I'm not entirely sure I need all that ya know. Just trying to ask someone who has done all this before what it is they are actually talking about. I love the walkthroughs but they kind of say what to do and skip showing doing it and just go to the begin and end pictures of the steps.

i've haven't worked on my 240 in a quite a while and don't have access to it right now, so i will be going off of memory. Anyone else feel free to correct me as necessary...

You're not gonna use any of the 3 connectors that are in that picture. If you check under the relay box that is depicted, there is another connector. This one should only have two male leads on the inside. That is the connector that you will jumper (basically just loop a wire from one lead to the other inside the connector).

I'm not sure what else you want to know...anything else, just post...

EDIT: Just looked a little closer at the relay box and realized you said S14...i did mine on an S13, maybe the connector is in a similar place... =P

Ok so this is the guide I'm going by.

S14 5-speed Transmission Swap - Electrical Connections (http://www.ka24development.com/cwilfert/S14_tranny_swap_electrical.html)

Now I'm really confused with all this wiring that has to be done. I'm using a manual transmission harness for the 5 speed.
I was thinking it'd be plug and play since I have both harnesses.

Am I wrong.

You need to read the FSM very carefully if you want to identify all the connectors. There is no other way.

Figure out what each harness does and see if you need it or not.

You have to figure out which parts on the lower harness is needed. Find the mating plug to the plug on the chassis. Wire up.

This is very complicated even for me due to Nissan's design. There is no other way than to just learn wiring and how to read the FSM.
