real schnitzels are awesome!
I don't think they're that unhealthy, as they're just meat (usually pork or chicken) cutlets.

ditto...it's not any worse that a cheeseburger sub...I eat at least one of those a week. I don't eat sweets, so a lot of that stuff didn't appeal to me.

it's not the food that makes you fat...it's the lifestyle of the people eating it.

Honestly, that doesn't look good at all. none of it. Not even the foot long cheeseburger. Although, that Big Carl is mighty tasty at Carls Jr. I don't see that footlong being any good.
What has gone wrong in this world man? I was watching something that said the US's skinniest state is FATTER than the fattest state in 1991. People are just fatasses now a days man.
Looking back I think it's the school lunches that taught us this. Why the fuck was Pizza Hut personal pan pizza's offered as a Jr. High lunch? I know that there's companies that come in and clean up district lunches but the reason they don't, according to these companies, is because these district officials are getting kickbacks from these fatty places.

corperate america fucks everything man, well greed, we are all taught to make money, and make more money than others, make it any way you can.. and this ruins things.. Food is pushed upon us as "must buy" lifestyle.. This also messed up music quality, relationships *all these dam single baby mommas and media supporting promiscuity*. People making money pushing that lifestyle. Oh and video games too, people dont wanna leave their house cuz of them, rather sit on the couch. esp kids.

Instead of taking our dates to dinner, how about we go to the gym instead? get our sweat on :naughty:

Me too!!

You do have a point there, a good portion (no pun intended) is tied to lifestyle. I have a friend that will have two servings of breakfast, two for lunch and just lay on the couch when the work day is over. I tired to push my friend to workout, but constant excuse and nagging. My friend is "skinny" now, but I can easily see this changing in a few months if this lifestyle continues.

Honestly, that doesn't look good at all. none of it. Not even the foot long cheeseburger. Although, that Big Carl is mighty tasty at Carls Jr. I don't see that footlong being any good.

I completely agree, everywhere I go I notice most of the populous around me is overweight. It gives me motivation to watch how much I eat and continue to exercise. I never had personal pan pizza's offered to me in Jr. high...thats nuts. I do agree that people are getting kickbacks from these major corporations to push the processed foods out to the general populous and drive the cost of natural, organic goods.

Instead of taking our dates to dinner, how about we go to the gym instead? get our sweat on :naughty:

hell yeah. I run almost 5 miles in the mornings and go walking with my wife and daughter at night.
Has anyone seen those giant jugs of soda at A&W? Who needs a gallon of soda? it's crazy. I do love their rootbeer though, but a gallon of it for dinner is excessive.

And, seriously, what fast food place offers healthy meals? Subway and your random side salads. Any other ideas because I've tried looking and gave up. I pack my lunch now.

it's not wrong. They create food to be tasty. Sometimes I honestly forget what a really good hamburger tastes like and crave Big Macs and Big Carls and Jumbo Jacks and stuff. It's not until you have a really good, well made, fresh toppings, great bread, and lean meat burger when you say to yourself "hey, so this is what a REAL hamburger is supposed to taste like?" There's 2 places that I'll consider eating and say "wow, that's a burger". One is In-N-Out but they use a lil too much sauce and meat is not really too great. The other (best ever) is a place called Get the Burger in Big Bear. Favorite place ever but can't go there too much because they really don't care about your health if you know what I mean. I don't think anywhere where they still fry your fries in lard cares about your health over taste. lol.

well, there are lots of great burger spots pretty much everywhere now.
I have trouble trying them all in socal, because there are so many.

In N Out is a far cry from what it was in the past, say in the early 90's & before.
(you could taste the meat at least).
I agree their sauce is not that great.
I have nothing against In N Out per say, but I truly despise the zealots who worship it like god or something.

I usually either get it protein style or plain with cheese. Protein style w/ grilled onions is pretty good. It tastes pretty fresh because they use really crisp lettuce and it enhances the onions for me. With plain w/ chees I just put ketchup and call it a night, lol.
But that Get the Burger place they don't just grill the onions, they carmelize em to where they're almost mushy. The sauce is great and the meat is really lean. The beef in the burger at that place is just freaking great. Not the processed shit.

I love me some In N Out the one out here is good for some reason its better then the ones in California. I love me a good burger if I get the craving for a good burger I will make one myself. I hardly eat out and I love cooking food nothing like having a really good meal that you are proud of how good it tastes. The food in that thread looks good some of it I don’t see anything wrong with it and I am the type of person that will try anything food wise once and that is why i love 99% of all mexican food made.

You guys should check out a documentary called Food, Inc (Official Food, Inc. Movie Site - Hungry For Change? (http://www.foodincmovie.com/)).

I must say it gave me a better perspective on what's going on with the food industry in the U.S.
