View Full Version : fouling plugs on a sr20det.

sorry im pretty much a noob on sr20det..but i got a sr20det equipped with a HKS gt-ss turbo running on 370cc apexi neo for tunning..clean the plugs do 1 run and car starts bogging pull out the plug and its black..could it be just a tunning issue? thanks any help is greatly appericated!

maybe bad plugs?.. what else aftermarket parts do you have.. plugs could be failing at burning the fuel needed to run the motor.

i just put some brand new ngk 6's..and first run with them pulled it out and there black as my tire!..i got some greddy 7's maybe i should try putting those on.

eehh.. thats the only thing i can think of about black spark plugs.. let this one sit out till tomorrow maybe some other zilvian are willing to help.

btw they're prolli gonna ask you for a mod list./

Whats the gap on the plugs? I'd start by double checking the plugs. Set somewhere between .030 to .027

the plugs right now are set to .30 and its still having a bogging/fouling plug issue:-/

Sounds like a tune issue.... If all 4 are like that, check for fuel pressure

you need platinum/iridium bkr7e specific plugs

i went through a few sets cuz i used regular bkr7e's

i got some greddy iridium 7's and they still did the same thing..im thinking its just a tune issue.
