And Nissan Hardbody
http://www.nissan.co.za/images/hardbody/hb_gallery1.jpg
And what is this Engine Exchange program they got going on over there
http://www.nissan.co.za/images/text_engine.gif
Why not consider an exchange unit from the Nissan Engine Exchange programme. The Nissan Engine Exchange service is based on remanufacturing engines to the same exacting specifications as the original. So you can confidently expect your new engine to be of the same high quality as it was originally and remanufactured using only Nissan Approved Parts. That's why Nissan is confident to offer a 12-month warranty, and ongoing backup from the Nissan Dealer Network. And Nissan Engine Exchange offers you many other benefits.
A remanufactured engine costs less than half that of a new one. The programme covers the Nissan passenger and ldv range and your Nissan Dealer will make all the necessary arrangements to minimise your downtime so that your productivity is hardly affected.
Remanufactured engines
undergo a unique process
Nissan Exchange Engines are not simply repaired units, they are completely remanufactured. Each engine is stripped down to its basic components and critical items such as pistons, bearings, thermostats and timing chains are replaced with new Nissan Approved Parts, regardless of the condition of the old ones. Trained and qualified technicians then inspect the remaining components individually, re-machine the parts back to the original manufacturer's tolerances, and re-assemble the engine. Every engine is then bench tested. The whole remanufacturing process is done to stringent international SABS/IS09002 standards.
Like-new warranty
Every remanufactured engine carries a 12 month, unlimited kilometre warranty - exactly the same as a new unit - your assurance of a quality product and service.
Nissan values your time
Choosing the Nissan Engine Exchange option means that as a fleet owner, small business or private owner, your Nissan Dealer will ensure that your vehicle is back on the road in the shortest possible time. (Larger Nissan Dealers even offer a same-day service.)
A fixed price with no unexpected costs
A remanufactured Nissan engine costs approximately half that of a new one, which represents excellent value for money. A further benefit is that there are no hidden costs involved.
A national support network
Once you have fitted a Nissan Exchange Engine, you have the support and back-up service of over 180 Nissan Dealers throughout Southern Africa - another of Nissan's commitments to service excellence.

Ok, Now we have serious sevice for nissan exchange programme not ava. here in USA (they want you to buy a new car here) and then we have all these very desirable vehicles not ava. in the USA...so we are being dogged by our govt. that wants to ban anything that is not "USA Approved but watered down to trash" crap. Notice the end of the 240 in 1998....only 2K were imported..all were sold, find me one that was not...well find me any car that did not make it to market except the ones retained by the companys for archival purposes.
Build it, it will sell period.
Even the Bose $hit we get here is made in China.
What gives??
Looks like a Q35 is a damn good car to buy...still made in Japan.
Close to a skyline.
Maxima is a fine new car...very fine..indeed and so is the Altimas...but the others are marketable. All of them. Price them to profit and bring them on.
Actually, the answer is our 240SX's with whatever we want to do to them to make them ours for a lifetime, barring wrecks and totals. Looks like sonmeone needs to say something to Nissan actually at this point.
Based on the lineup...the PRIMERA is a sweet looking car..as the Bluebird, Gloria and the Sema
If those cars were to show up for sale here, their would be one hell of a waiting list.
Seems only "the good stuff" is offered in Japan.
I lived in Hiroshima and Tokyo for a while in the old days, maybe it is time to see what can be done to move back!
Ever seen the fine cooking gear Avaliable?
I like to cook, and eat!
Damn.

Here is something slightly related. I found it on freshalloy one day. Its a Matrix of all the Nissan cars, their chassis codes, and engines and driveline configurations. Its not as up to date as this year, but gives a good idea of what engines to steal;)

USDM Nissan/Infiniti > JDM Nissan
There, I said it :o
We have a broader variety, they have the hideous station wagon market cornered, we have trucks, SUV's, sport cars, family cars and luxury cars. Personally I think we have it better

Wait Bill, you do realize that the Skyline 350GT and the USDM Infiniti G35 are one and the same, right?
Bill Roberts
07-27-2003, 10:41 PM
Not exactly the same, being left handed, I perform better in a right drive car. Also their are subtle differences in weight, intake and exhaust and emissions control..and also price. The interior appointments are different and the JDM Skyline has a different suspention calibration and better master cylinder from the research I have been presented with. Also the GT model pictured, is not the same electrically (engine management) of the Q35.
I like both cars, but I feel the Skyline is worth the extra yens..too bad it cannot be directly imported..if so, they WOULD be the same car, but I am afraid, their are many subtle differences under their skirts.
At least to me.
Unfortunantly, I am not in the market for either of them.

Q35 is the chassis code, although it's marketed as the G35 here.
WE NEED AN XTRAIL HERE. sr20vet with CVT! FUCKING CVT!!
a lot of those cars are hot. :'( they have a big lineup, but remember that some of those are known as infiniti's here. but yeah, the rest... some of them are hot, others are just fugly. I just wish we had the whole lineup here, then we'd see something different. Is the SHIFT campaign over yet? They've been cutting back their losses for quite some time now. The let's-spread-the-VQ-into-every-car scheme has saved them shitloads of money. I think it's time they started to innovate again.
