So far I think JT-imports is the cheapest. Maybe if we can get 10 guys we can get a discount. Anyone else interested?

I'm not sure if we're allowed to post prices but JT-imports is the cheapest by far and already includes shipping.

TougeFactory.com = $229
Jspec.com = $280
JT Imports.com = $236

But JT has shipping already included in their price. Touge doesn't. Anyone else interested in a group buy?

I guess you guys like to waste your money?

OBX are the same thing as the C's. If your seriously considering spending 200+ for a SS, get the damn B&M. C's is the BIGGEST waste of $ ever.

OK guys I talked to Jason over at JT-imports and we now have a group buy. How do I go about posting it in the group buy forum? Do I need to have JT-imports post it?

that is totally different. if you buy your girl a gucci bag and the lining isn't right, or the leather is cheap/fake, or the label is wrong...people will know. in the case of the C's shifter, it's exactly the same product, and you never even see it! it gets covered up by the shift boots and knob.

the B&M includes a whole new top plate, and creates the shortest, most precise throws on the market. why you would waste your money on the C's is beyond me. seriously, do what Mark (WeST) says...either buy the OBX or spend the real cash on the B&M.

tsk tsk
b&m is more a 'racing' type shifter.
cs/obx/pilot/tomei/etc are more 'streetable.

to know what you REALLY want try both.

iv'e tried cs, pilot, obx and b&m and stock on KA and s13 and s14 SRs

the c's/obx were my favorites. but that's just my personal preference

just because its JDM doesnt mean its the best. doesnt mean its the worst either.

be a smart shopper.

Correct, its been revised. I have owned a Pilot, OBX, Nismo SS, B&M, but no C's. I couldn't imagine it being anything that's worth $200+. I've never had any problems with my OBX even before the revisions. B&M are coming down in price and I think think its the best shifter for the money, its shifts are way different like Aaron said, it might take a day to get used to over stock but its totally adaptable.

So has anyone here tried both the C's and obx? And can you say that it is impossible to tell the difference? If it's identical then i'd rather just get the obx but i've done searches on it and heard some bad things.

Also, C's is closing it's doors for good so this is the last time you'll ever be able to get one of their shifters new. After this you'll have to get a used one from someone else. That's why I want to know if there is a difference.

dousan....so were the c's and obx identical like these guys are saying?

I have done searches on both and it seems like every other guy bashes the obx, but i'm not sure if it's the older version or newer one. There were hardly any people who had bad things to say about the c's shifter. If they are the same how can there be such a disparity in opinions?

While we're waiting for Dousan to weigh in...I'll wager a guess:

The C's probably uses better adhesive. This is the *only* problem with the OBX, and is the only reason the two halves separate. All you have to to is squirt some windshield urethane in there and it sticks together again. Epoxy would probably work even better. Or, just let it spin ;)

I got the B&M because I lost a seal for my OBX and it started leaking. Instead of buying another OBX, I decided to try something different.

Aaron is right...the OBX is a better "street" shifter...it's quiet, smooth, and easy. The B&M is like a rifle bolt. Super precise, heavy, notchy, but ultra positive. Only reason I EVER miss shifts is due to the loose nut behind the wheel. Usually it's because the clutch foot isn't talking to the shifter hand  grrrrrrrind.

nah pretty much same.

the advantage of Cs
it comes with EVERYTHING. so you can replace your old stock parts with new ones. i think it has the lower boot and all (talk with jasonagra, he got one from Jspec, ruf has oen also..a fwe other members do, its more then just the shifter itself..)

that's the biggest plus. and never had a breaking/snapping/whatever issue
its top quality

the OBX is now but before it wasnt

i still would get Cs, not onlyb ecause i can get a [email protected] deal on it, but the quality is for certain and the overall quality

but i would get a B&M if i was REALLY serious abotu short shifter. that throw is amazing. but i dont like short shifter and Cs is the most i'd get..well, i should say "c's style short shifter"

edit: ya eric is 100% on.btw, my first time w/ B&M was grind city OR i woudl clutch too long because im used to stock hahahaha..it was still a cool shifter. but took some getting used to. definately on target damn..ill say. shifting fast is incredible easier then stock!

There was a lot of crap a couple years ago with the OBX b/c it had a plastic center section that would break under hard shifting..

The new ones are metal on metal. They do not break. They are EXACTLY like the C's. I have seen both.

I like my obx, and have no desire to buy the B&M.. except for that "Grass is greener" syndrome. But I am completely satisfied.

dousan...what kind of killer deals can you get on a c's?

I have an OBX shifter in my car, I love it. My friend has a C's in his S14, I was really impressed with it, until I chopped off an inch on the bottom piece of my OBX and welded the two halves together(you with OBX shifters know what I'm talking about)

Now my OBX feels better than my friend's C's shifter. And OBX is less than half the price!
