Hey all, a Drift Competition has come to northeast Ohio!! To the only NASCAR sanctioned figure 8 track around!! Special thanks to Lake County Speedway and DriftCleveland for making this happen! http://www.driftpa.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

The judging will be based on the Formula D 2010 rule book, except with a top 16 instead of 32 qualifying round.
We decided for the first event to take it easy on the requirements due to the lower speed limitations of the course, and hope to bring more people to compete for the $4000 purse. Gates open at 7am, and event will go on until 11pm. Extra practice is also available from 8am to 12pm on the Saturday before (August 14), see Lake County Speedway's regular races in the evening (6:30pm-late night), maybe even a DriftCleveland demo, and then camp out for the big event the next day . UPDATE: If you'd like to drive in this event, but don't have a roll cage, you are welcome to register and participate in Saturday's practice, Sunday's practice, and Qualifying.. you just won't be able to make it into Top 16. Your tech inspection will be based on our Thursday Drift Practice checklist. To avoid confusion, I'm not going to post the list, PM me or send an email to [email protected] for more info. Thanks!
