I’m looking for a reputable place or person to buy my next engine set. The place I used to buy from has since went out of business. I’m looking for complete engine set with good compression. Depending on the charge I may also need a wiring harness service. I can get that done later if I need to. If you know of someplace in Los Angeles or Orange County area that I can get this from please let me know. I found a few places but honestly I don’t trust them so I wont buy from them. So I’m trying here...maybe someone had some good luck. Thank you.

I've got a sale going on with Motors right now.
Please check the Engine section of advertiser forum.
Shipping to the west coast is a bit more expensive, please contact me if you need a quote, or have any questions.
Thanks,

just for others to know, cold compression test dry should yield 150psi across the board.
Autec S15 and later non turbo S15 motors are very high compression 190-210 psi I have seen on those.
make sure when compression testing that the throttle is at (WOT) when doing this
and spray a bit of WD40 in there before you crank the motor over.
and a leak down is always something to do.
couple of things to add while the motor is out before it gets installed
1) upgrade to the S15/S14 DET water neck for the turbo
2) replace chain/tensioner and guides with the newer ones from the S15/use a new S13 chain.
3) Ex manifold gaskets (S15) all the way for this
4) front and rear mail seal
5) a S15 or the Sr20/Sr16VE oil pump
best to do those things while the motor is out and not in the car.
and Performance Nissan where to get all of those parts.
