I had heard mention at one point that you could fit 1 10" jl audio sub on each side of the car on the 95" 240s. by basically building it into the frame. is this possible and has anybody done this.

Actually I do. The guy on www.240sx.org that has it posted did it truthfully at American Radio in Knoxville, TN.

Now looking at it , its not too hard just get some MDF and put it behind in the hole and attache it to the metal and put silicone all around holes and gaps
and find a sub that needs about .65 - .85 cubic feet and put it back there. Dont forget to wire.

By the way im just using 2 Polk GNX 10s with very low wattage and it sounds just fine .

Do you have any ill efects such as waves in your paint on the out side or new or exsesive rattles caused by the subs hitting. thanks.

No paint waves as I have seen. And yes but as far as im concerned there are going to be rattles everywhere anytime u havbe subs, unless your picky enough to go through and fix them which becomes expensive. But the rattles are not that bad.

I have found that on the usual with minimal effort I usualy have been able to aleviate any rattles. How ever It seems that you would probably get rattles from the molding in the car. by the way have you ever had these subs in the trunk if so how does the sound compare.

No , I never had these in teh trunk. But i had 2 12 inch Orions in the trunk and they rattled the whole car, with the same wattage.
