S13 Dash Connector Clip Difference ?

Is there a difference between 89-90 and 91-93 S13 dash connectors ?

i am trying to clip mine in but it is not going in for the life of it, not even close.

im using my harness that i used with my old car which was a 1990 240sx with RB20 and now its all the same stuff but with a 1992 240sx.

i was told that the harnesses between 89-90 and 91-93 240's were the same except for the color of one wire or something.


my guess right now is that i have to swap the clip to one from a 91-93 240sx.

SOHC and DOHC dash connectors are different. SOHC is white, DOHC is brown, and no, they do not plug into each other.

Yes, the connectors are different. The 89-90 is white and the 91-94 is brown. If you can figure out how to remove the pins from the connectors you simply re-pin the pins into the same spots on the other connector and you're good.

Again, single and twin cam F1 plugs are not the same.

The easiest way for me is to cut the KA plug and wire that up to the SR ECU plug. That way you don't have to modify the dash harness.

For SRs, I like what I did. Chop off the dash connector from a junkyard car, then chop off the dash conector from the SR car(assuming you have access to a front clip). Then just make a patch harness that routes everything to the right pin.

This is the best way. You don't have to modify either the dash or ECU harness. All the patching is done at the intermediary patch harness.

The only issue is you have to tuck a slightly longer harness.
