hi i am a new member of zilvia and just bought my 1st car which happens to be a 240sx. i am not much of an import car enthusiast however the s15 has caught my attention and i do have a question to ask, hopefully someone can help me out.is the s15 actually a nissan 240sx with a different engine, front clip assembly and rear lights? is the back even the same as the 240sx?

there are so many differences between the 240sx and the s15 you could practically write a book.
There are some similarites but they arent big, but there are alot of differences to name. The 240sx is the same chassis as the (rp)s13 which follows the s14 and s15. They are in the "same family" but they are different.confusing but lets just say they are two different cars.

You can tell people you have a Silvia, if it makes you happy.:boink:
The S15 is the latest generation of the 240SX that never came to the US. It does share quite a few components with the S14 (95-98 240SX), but the majority of the car is completely different.

I think one of the biggest differences is that s15 is 6-speed whereas all previous ones were 5speed

and the fact that it has a completly different body.

That can be changed. Mating a 6-speed box is not hard. The "unchangeable" factor is the chassis.

haha, cool. Didn't really think anyone else would be driving a mini and a 240.
did see the picture of your mini with the exhaust in it. Cool stuff.
and I don't feel bad about hijacking this thread, cause it was stupid anyways.

this thread is :ghey:
Yes I did. The weight of the exhaust combined with the sharpness of the flange cut through the bubble wrap. Sucks.
