Time attack will be 30 min sessions, as so will be the drift sessions.

Lap timing is available, with a small additional fee. We need to get at least 10 grip drivers to commit so we can provide lap timing.

I saw the title....oh man....please have plenty of footage, as people will be crashing! haha

Plenty footage assured, but we will make sure we keep our zero incident record. :)

You should come out and play.

It will be fun.

We promise.

lets see where shall i start. im a girl that enjoys going to drift events to support and help my friends. but this event sucked! i can list quite a few things that just made me furious.

-entrance fee $5 ? wtfx.
-the ninjas being little girls.
-no ride alongs so we paid 5 just to sit around and do nothing! which i found really stupid! (you guys coulda included that we pay to just spectate!)
-the music with messed up speakers.
-not enough tandem!

b.a.d! experience. wasn't what i expected. this is the worse drift event I've ever been to! rediculous drift event !

The 5 dollar fee has nothing to do with RAD. Thats what WSIR charges no matter what. I take it youve never been to WSIR. Wasnt it 10 dollars? It was back in May.

Umm... there was a $10 fee at the gate of the track, and a $5 spectator fee for RAD. If you were driving then you didn't get charged that $5 fee. If you just came to watch you had to pay $5.

Sorry to hear that d1n0saur (http://zilvia.net/f/members/d1n0saur.html) but we will take note of your comments. First of, no 'ride alongs' is WSIR's policy. There were quite few tandems but please consider that this is not a drift competition. Also this is drifting Horse Thief Mile at night, first ever to happen so we make sure that SAFETY FIRST is in place. Maybe next time when drivers are already used drifting HTM night you'll see more tandems.

But again, appreciate your feedback and sure will take note of it.

I was pretty pissed off that I had to hand over 5 bucks to the "rad experience" guys just to get to horse thief parking lot and no ride alongs were allowed. Super disappointed.

Ridealongs have been prohibited by WSIR for a long time now, you can't be mad at RAD experience for enforcing this rule. Unless the organizer has their own insurance coverage, which is more costly, ridealongs are not permitted in WSIR tracks for safety and for the sake of everyone in case anything happens. Do know that many drivers that attend these events are not professionals, and WSIR IS a race track. Although you may think it's all fun and games at these events, race tracks are HAZARDOUS and DANGEROUS when something goes wrong. WSIR, event organizers, and even the drivers would definitely not want to be liable for any injuries or deaths sustained by the ridealong passengers. If you're not the driver, you have no business being in the car at the tracks. Simple as that. If you want to be on the track, then drive your own damn car.

One more thing, why the heck is everyone complaining about $5?!? I don't see people complaining about $10 for entering WSIR. People pay to enter and "SPECTATE" formula D events, Pro-AM, heck... even to SPECTATE a high school football game for much more than $5. Hosting drift events, not evening considering paying for HTM to run at night, the cost to have the lights running, etc. is not cheap. Have some respect, get off your ass and get a job so you can AFFORD that $5 to support your friends, help out the organizers so they can keep future drift events going for the drivers. Bunch of cry babies

If you want to rebuttal against what I just posted, or complain how that $5 was not worth paying.. I'm just going to tell you that you're a cheap ass. And no, I'm not part of RAD. I only appreciate that there's event coordinators out there that goes above and beyond to allow us amateur drivers to be able to do what we do in a safe and professional environment. I'm not saying you can't criticize or point out things that can be improved or changed in future events, just please do it RESPECTFULLY.

Thanks to everyone that went to the event, both drivers and spectators.

This is the first time in history Horse Thief Mile has been driven at night.

I am here to clear up some issues:

1. No ride along rule is set by wsir, we are just complying.
2. $5 spectator fee is to help us cover costs.
>>>>>A regular daytime HTM event is $125.
>>>>>We charged $125 for a night event with 7 lights, upgraded insurance and fire and rescue.
3. The guys at the gate are just doing their job. If you have any concerns, I would be glad to set anybody up a meeting with them.
4. The DJ that plays music comes for free, he just wants to play for us. I'm glad that he is there.

I just noticed, all of the guys with negative comments did not even drive, some did not even go in to spectate. Im sure if you drive next time you will have a lot more fun.

If you have other concerns, please post up and I will take care of it as much as I can.
----------------

We will be doing this again soon. We will be adding two more lights, making it nine lights for the next event.

Price will still be the same at $125, spectators will still be $5, drivers will still get in for free.

kouki3015: Have I met you before? Run next event. Its on me!

See all you guys next event.

peace!

This event was pretty fun. I got there kinda late, but I still had plenty of run time. Kinda took a while for the night session to start, but that's understandable considering you have to figure out where and how to position the lights.

I didn't like that there was a $5 fee at the gate. Yeah, it's not expensive, but still; it was unexpected. If it was listed in the thread beforehand, it would have been alright. Now everyone knows that there's gonna be a $5 fee the next event, so there can't be anything to complain about. Oh, and tell the people working at the gate to be a little more polite.

I didn't like the "no passenger" rule either. This too is understandable, but I didn't know this beforehand as well. The events I usually drive, 626 Drift and Just Drift, allow passengers and I wasn't expecting a no passenger rule. When I go to the track I like to bring my friends along and give them rides. ESP. the friends who don't drift. I'd rather give them a ride on the track than in the streets.

Other than that the event was pretty well organized. Staff was doing their job and I had fun. I should be at the next event if I can get my oil pan fixed (too many dirt drops causes holes in oil pan). lol.

All of our night events have a $5 entry fee since we started night drifting, I promise I will do a better job of informing everybody next time.

As for the ride alongs, Im sure you know Wsir's rules.

Dave,

It worked!

It felt like a totally different track.

There was only one casualty... a rabbit got run over by one of the drivers. It was DOA. lol!

Seriously, a rabbit got run over.

We use 7 lights, we will use 9 next time to make it better for driving.

It was not sketchy at all.
