The thing is, it has a salvage title.
Otherwise, everything is in good working order and looks nice.
The car is 100% stock.
Salvage title was because it was involved in an accident, but has since been professionaly fixed by a body shop.
How much is this car worth?
Oh, and its Chaste White, auto.

Yeah, it was involved in an accident.
But I just want to know how much it is worth.
I will be taking it to a shop I know and making sure everything is fine before I make any type of decision though.

Yeah, its a body/frame shop.
They're going to put it up on a rack and messure everything, etc...
So, 5k max? Hmm...
Thanks for your reply man :)
Any one else with input?
I just want to get a feel for what people think.

you do realize you wont be able to resell that thing. the resell value will be horrible. I hope your getting it for REALLY cheap(1k-2k). Think about it: you will put more miles on it etc. car gets older + salvage title.

What about one that isn't salvaged, but has seen a wreck? Its mostly just a dented front bumper and white overspray on the radiator which ill fix before i sell. But I hit a curb at like 20mph and replaced everything on that side down to the crossmember. It still has slight caster to the right, and pulls a tad to the right, but its not really all that bad. Its a 98 240sx se with hks hiper/eibach sportlines/energy suspension/catco cat/kyb agx.

Hmm.. yeah. Resell is one thing.
Well, I don't really plan on reselling it all that soon.
I don't know, I guess I'll decide once I get it checked out.
And if it was for 1k-2k, I'd buy it already! But its just a tad bit more than that unfortunately...
Thanks for your reply :)

AT, blah. What part of the car is/was damaged? Front? Rear? Side? I'd wait to find a better one. Hell, you can probably find a Zenki with a clean title and the same mileage for around $5-6k. I'd stay away. It sounds like you just want it because it's cheap and (gasp) a kouki. Find one that's a manual, you won't regret it.

My friend got his 97 240 for 6800, and the seller got another 97 240 for 6k. I hope your getting it for really cheap, don't get impatient, keep looking - that is my suggestion.

Recently working at a body shop, I would deffinitly have the frame measured (preferably on a Car-O-Liner frame rack) and probably scope that bitch up REAL quick. As long as the frame/alignment was staigheted back to spec I would have NO problem purchasing it. Look at it this way...its a 97 with 70k miles on it, unless your looking at 350+ HP or auto-x the frame damage should not have a significant effect on the drivability...
I may be wrong, but :hitit: in a second

I got my 98 pretty much mint condition w/ 65K for $8500 (SE, 5spd)... I wouldn't pay more than $3000 for it since it's salvaged you'll also have a hard time fining a good insurance company to cover the car... just get a zenki for like $4-5K that's super clean... there are a lot around now... well more than before for a good price.
I wouldn't touch a car with frame damage even if it could be repaired, but that's just me.

Yeah, I was actually looking for a 95-96 Zenki when I ran across this one. Too bad most of the ones I found were around ~6-8k. If you know of some that are around ~4k could you point me in the right direction?
Thanks again :)

Where exactly in CA are you located? Remember these people *ask* for those prices... you think the person I got my kouki from was asking 8500? hahaha

Well since you're in the Bay Area I'm sure you've checked out craigslist and then don't forget the always useful autotrader, you can also use cars.com but just be resourceful and start leaving your nubmer on people's windows... just not mine LOL!

Jay,
Thanks for the help. I have been checking those sites, and others, everyday! haha
I have talked to a few, and checked out some but I have yet come to a decision on one.
There is one white 95-96 one that I see everyday on my way to work though. It doesn't show its for sale but who knows, maybe if I take your advice I'll get a chance to buy it. :-P
I just recently came across this one with the salvage title, and I went to check it out. It seems to be in extremely good condition! But, as most people have said, I am hestitant about that car because of its title.
I guess I'll just have to be patient, and wait it out...
