So I was driving, waiting for a girl to finish up so I could take her out, when I took a corner kinda hard. After that corner, my car just suddenly stalled out while I was moving. I was like oh shit, and I pulled over. I popped open my hood and my Clutch fan had eaten my wiring harness to the MAF. LOL. I was like fuck, my fault, should have made sure everything was secure. I looked at it and thought it would be a easy fix, as only two wires to the MAF were cut.

My friend took me to autozone got some 16 gauge power wires, which were a little too big, to connect the power and the ground. I was pretty sure that would fix it because that was the only problem other then the power steering belt coming off, that I could physically see. I also checked all the fuses. Well, wired that shit back up and It would still only crank and not start. Then I was talking to a fellow 240 owner when he reminded me that with the MAF not working it should just be a rough start. When I have the key in the ignition, I can hear the fuel pump working. When I go back home this weekend, I will check the spark and the fuel pump to make sure they are working for sure, but honestly I think they are ok. My car was running perfect until that harness got eaten up. Oh yea, I tried to start my car in first and second gear, did not work.

Honestly, I think its just a stupid electrical problem. Any suggestions to what I should check first? I was searching and I Read something about a ECT? This blows, I kinda have a lot of shit to take care of this weekend along with the fourth. :-/ Thanks.

Damn sorry to hear, but definitely check for spark then go from there. You sure it didnt chop anything else up?

It was completely my fault. I did a half-assed job securing my engine bay. It didn't look like it got anything else.

I was talking to a local and he told me to check the coils. I think that might be it. gonna find out tonight.

Anyone want to give me a picture of their ka single cam distributor? There is this open connection thing, I think it might be the ground. I am also getting 5 volts to the distributor, is that enough?

PM me some pics of both sides of your eng. if they are good enough I can probably solve your problem.

check the FSM to see what the proper voltage should be

I did, but it just says to check for voltage.

Lol. My car is a fucking retard. So i was testing everything and apparently im not getting any power to my power transistor when the car is on. so i took apart my wiring harness in the engine bay, and couldnt really find anything wrong? but the wire that is suppose to deliver the power is like a wire inside a wire. And when autozone tested my power transistor, it failed the sat section of the test. lol.

How do i wire a wire inside a wire?
