need help on a 01 gsxr

hi guys just bought a 01 gsxr few weeks ago and for some reason few days ago while i was riding it the digital mph start flickering so as my rpm gauge , gas and temp warning lights they all flicker at the same time... all lights are fine ( headlight and break light ) but on a ON key position is fine it doesn't flicker at all but just when i start it ..

can someone give me an idea what's wrong with it

Sounds like a loose ground.

Grab the wires and start checking. Once you have cleared all the grounds, if the problem still exists, then you can look into more expensive fixes (i.e. new digital speedo or something).

yeah i kind did that i was kinda grabbing the wires that start from the gauge i was pulling it softly to see if it will makes a diff ... but no luck

you got a gsx thats whats wrong.. you should have gotten a zx6r or even f4i... where you trying to stunt when the lights went on?

check the wires under the sub frame.. or just take it to a shop... i have some boys i ride with that would help you out... there in burbank

does sound like a loose ground, which sucks to look for/identify...GL

check the ground like THATGUY stated but also check your kill switch and your start switch. If they bike has ever been down they could of been damage. Check the wiring also.
To all the guys that said get a Kawi or Honda. Gsxr's are so easy to work on compare to any other type of street bikes.

But i do own an f4i lol
