View Full Version : fuses keep blowing

OK so a few days ago i was havin problems with my headlight fuses blowing...i have a 98 240sx wit a 15 front end my left head light keeps blowing its fuse...i rewired head light shrink wrapped it ect. no groundin out ...still fuses blow so a friend said rewire my radio i took my radio out and amazingly it didnt blow fuse put radio in it blew fuse but took radio out n it still blew thus coming to conclusion its proly not radio,has anybody ever had this problem if so i need answers or suggestions..:sadwavey:

have you checked the harness that runs above the driver front tire yet?

wires are touching/grounding out somewhere.

Have you done any multimeter readings? ohm out your power wire and I bet it is probably shorting out to a ground. I would double, triple check your wiring job and make sure you hooked it up correctly and that there aren't any wires touching/shorting out. Another thing could be that wiring can't support the current draw or your fuse is too small.

I have something similar with my parking/cluster/brake lights. I havent figured it out yet either, my wiring is fine too.....fuckin CLUELESS at the moment haha

so i dont know what a multimeter reading is exactly can u tell me more bout this,its weird tho cause i took battery off and cleaned some lil black specs off of the fuse teminals and so far it hasnt blown

i know this is an old thread but did u figure this out i just came to this problem for some reason i hit a drive way going up and after that it went out im blowing the fuse

Your Grounding out somewhere.
