Up for sale is my smog-exempt brown 1973 Datsun 240z painted rattle-can black and 15” Eagle Alloy rims with Kumho Ecsta AST tires (two with about 65% tread left), and two which will need to be replaced. I am asking $2800-OBO and for it to go to a good home.

Cliff Notes:
• 1973 Datsun 240Z located in Ramona, CA currently registered and street legal. Price: $2800-OBO. Please don’t lowball me. My best friend and I put in countless hours to make this car road-worthy.
• 15” Eagle Alloy Wheels with two tires and 2 needing replacement (can throw on a fresh set for buyer for additional $250.00)
• If you want the aluminum performance radiator please add $100 to the price of the car
• I’m contemplating keeping the custom exhaust system, but am on the fence about it.

When I first bought this car a year ago, I was very, very excited as this was my first Z-car, so my best friend (who is a certified mechanic) and I put tons of blood, sweat and tears into this car. I spent at least an additional $2,000 in parts alone, let alone the labor performed to ensure that this Z car was going to be my daily driver and weekend warrior. I will just cut to the chase and give potential buyers a list of the work that has been performed to the car. I am an honest guy and will not lie. This car is not perfect, but as you can see we have done a ton to it already to make it reliable.

Brakes:
• New Brake Master Cylinder
• Brake Booster
• New Stainless Steel Brake Lines (from MSA)
• Rotors x2 – Mountain Rotors Made in Japan
• Pads (Centric PosiQuiet)
• DOT4 Brake Fluid Flush
• New Rear Wheel Cylinders, replaced one that was leaking

Engine:
• Stock L24
• Working carbs, but should be replaced with new ones eventually if you want your car to be perfect. Wideband-Tuned for power and spirited driving in mind. Floats adjusted to spec. Starts with little to no hesitation. Sometimes you don’t even need to worry about the choke!
• Nissan OEM Distributor
• Crank Case Ventilation Hose – MSA pre-formed.
• Voltage Regulator – brand new
• Starter from working car
• NGK Spark Plugs
• NGK Spark Plug Wires
• Pertronix point-less igniter module
• New Battery
• Valve Cover Gasket
• Oil Filter - Factory OEM
• Engine Mount – Have new mounts ready to be put in
• Fuel Pump & Bracket – new
• New Timing Chain, Timing Chain Guide, and Tensioner (made in Japan)
• New 280zx Oil Pump to ensure no oil starvation in engine
• New Fuel Filter

Cooling:
• New Radiator Hoses
• New Water pump
• Thermostat – 160 degree to ensure overheating is not an issue.
• Heater Hoses – all replaced with new hoses
• Aluminum Racing Radiator with on/off fan switch inside cabin. The radiator is rated up to 400hp, which is more than enough for pretty much any application. One fan attached..all you need even under heavy load.
• Coolant overflow tank mounted to front of engine (Kragen one)

Drivetrain:
• New Clutch Master Cylinder
• New Clutch Slave Cylinder
• Transmission and Diff Flush
• New Transmission Mount / Diff Mount (no hitting while shifting).
• Clutch feels fine during driving and is strong enough that you can feel comfortable to dump it if you feel to do so.

Electrical
• Brand new MSA Fuse Box to ensure proper power to electrical systems with all fuses intact.
• New Alternator

Exhaust
• Custom made 2.25” exhaust piping with Flowmaster 40. Simply incredible noise that’s not too loud to make your ears bleed, but enough to keep a big grin on your face when you punch it. I get asked all the time what I have under the hood and I just smile and say I’m stock with a proper exhaust system. I can only imagine what this would sound like with an kickass engine build up in front.

Suspension
• Suspension on this car is all stock and could use a work over. I was going to buy the Tokico Blue kit, but honestly just do not have the time to devote to this as I’d like.

Miscellaneous Work Performed:
• Fuel Hoses (3ft of 3/16", 4ft of 5/16", 3ft of 1/4") – all replaced. Pesky Gas tank hoses all replaced so you don’t have to worry about them.
• Perfect condition Gas Tank bought from fellow member on hybridZ who had the gas tank leak tested. Since putting it in, I have never had a problem with it
• Brand new windshield with heavy-duty weather stripping.
• Rain-X Wipers lol.
• Door Locks work and you can open them from both inside and outside.
I think there are a few other items that I probably have missed, but that’s about what I can remember.

What It Needs:
I will not lie to you. This car will need a bit of bodywork to deal with the rust issues (not as bad as I’ve seen on the Z cars), but it definitely is there. If you want something you can drive comfortably for a while and tinker around with, this is your car. She’s been really good to me and I realize that my life is super busy and that I have too many cars in my possession. I don’t really want to sell this car, especially after all she and I have been through, but sometimes you gotta make the difficult choices. As it stands right now, she’s got a bit of dust and some bird crap on her as we live in Ramona, but I’ll clean her up before selling don’t worry. It will also need two tires for the rear (although if you really wanted to you could just rotate the front to the back and get another 2-3 months out of them depending on how your drive. As I mentioned above, I can have some put on for you, but I’ll be asking for a bit more in the asking price then.

Asking Price:
I am asking a price of $2800.00 obo. Considering the amount of work that’s been performed and the sheer price of parts not including the original price of the car, I think that’s fair.

I have a ton more, but I figured this'll give you a good idea. The fender with the busted sugar scoop has been replaced with a metal one from a blue S30 one. I will be spray painting it over the 4th of July if it doesn't sell by then to make it uniform and purdddy.

Thanks guys :)
