I have the DOHC KA motor, and as you all know there was a problem with them making lots of nasty sounds. The sound was being caused by the two upper timing chain guides. Nissan had a service file calling for them to be removed and discarded in order to remedy the sounds.
I decided to perform this service on my car:
I removed the rocker cover, distributor, and the top front cover. Then, I removed the two guides, and put everything back together.

After letting the Liquid gasket dry for about an hour, I went and started up the motor. It started, but then immeadatly died. It did this 3 times, never being able to hold an idle.. I removed the distributor and inspected it for damage, found none, and re-installed it. This time, the car wouldn't start up at all. This is how it is currently. It cranks, but doesnt start..

I bought new plugs and a new rotor, and I get a better spark now. But I realize that that isnt the problem. I messed up when i removed the Dist. the first time and I didnt mark the position of the splines on the end of the distributor. Thus, My car isn't sparking the correct cylinders at the correct time.

What I'm asking is how to correct this, so my distributor will spark at the correct times, as right now, I have no idea...

Help me solve this, and I will have your baby.
