Well, Sean has already seen this car, so he can attest to it being in one piece and only has 2 or 3 small dings on it, that said. . .

I noticed this car sitting in a backyard when I first moved in, 3 years later I finally stopped and asked the owner about it. He says its a 71', and as the story goes his aunt passed away and he was the only living relative and inherited her estate. According to him the car has been sitting 7-8 years now and was in running condition when he parked it, I highly doubt it is now that it's been sitting, but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He says what's on the odometer is actual miles and just by looking at the interior and undercarriage I believe him, the odometer reads 47,5XX miles. One thing pointing to the miles being actual is the fact that there is a little black book in the glove box with mile notations and details about what work was done, everything I believe down to oil changes and gas fill ups! The guys aunt bought the car new and yeah sure it's an automatic and a 4 door, but it's a complete car and in good shape as far as I can tell. I'm not looking for another project but I might be interested in snagging it and just holding onto it just so it won't rot away to nothing. The cell phone pics suck I know, but what do you guys think honestly?? What do you think it's worth? Owner says he doesn't know what it's worth so he would hate to set a price, a friend offered him $600 and the guy didn't really seem interested. Keep is nice guys, I know it's a 4 door and they are don't get as much love, but that's kinda why I'm drawn to it.

Gimme some feedback, without citing that I have too many cars already HARRRRRRRRRRRRRR, I know I have an addiction. The S14 is mere days away from being done with paint, so the S13 will be getting more loving as soon as the 14 is on the road.

I would buy it, clean it, new fluids, then turn it over and get it idling normal.
Then have a short test drive.
Then sell it to a SoCal resident for about 4K, lol.

510's are pretty rare and expensive to waste like we do 240's imo.
especially un molested ones with milage and paper work.

I actually went through my coupe faze years ago, and have loved 4 doors for several years now.
no matter what, get that thing.
get it running and sit on it if you have to.

But the years of the backyard 510 finds are almost over, and you are one of the last to find a decent shaped, family owned dime thats been left in a yard.

I agree with everyone, definitely pick that up. If you don't then tell everyone where it is at, that way someone can take care of it. If I were you, I'd restore it best as possible and sit on it for a while.

really tho he's a nice guy, probably in his 60's or 70's, he's stopped by the house when I've been working on my S13 and talked cars.

first order of business is making a deal with the guy on the price, possibly get rid of my RHD S13 shell to make room in my garage for the 510. one thing I noticed about those pics eric posted the fender mirrors look great even tho it would be impossible to see anything in them that far away! also the front chin spoilers look great too!

I already have an S13 that's been a long term project/ build, then an S14 that's about done at a friends body shop that is being worked in when business is slow.
