BLITZ is made by another company
i forget whta the name is but the price is WAAAY CHEAPER for the same seat...i *think* its the same. dorifto180sx knows....ill ask him later

plus i wanna be different. never seen a blitz seat

??? that is probably the MOST RETARDED reason to buy a certain seat.
you buy a seat for comfort, support and quality. NOT to be different

Aaron, how does the blitz GT3 compare to the SRD? WHich has better support and bolstering? Thanks, Jason.

You were the one who said not to judge by pics last nite!!! The onlyw way you can tell on a seat is by sitting in it!! I have sat in the SRD, but never in a blitz. O well.

Dousan_PG

hmm
think abuot it
seats..
they are SAME FOR EVERY CAR
tie rods: different for every car

a seat doesnt change.

use your brain.

Muzzy

i kinda figured they didnt make the seat themselves

but wtf is wrong with being different???
i wouldnt buy junk to be different...and blitz doesnt usually make junk now do they

i know its a seat and should be comfortable

they both look like that would hold u well though

Dousan_PG

i never said blitz was junk

i said that MENTALITY of being different shouldnt compromise a product's quality

Muzzy
07-22-2003, 01:00 PM
well wuts your opinion on them??

the head
07-22-2003, 01:04 PM
IIRC blitz seats are made by koning (konig?)

DoriftoSlut
07-22-2003, 01:13 PM
Yep. They are made by Koenig of Germany. Shiiit even "Konig" the imitation tuner company ripped their name from somewhere. That just fcuked up!

As for the Blitz seats... I liek the GT1s (excpet for their price) and the GT3s are... ehh... I would say just slightly better than the SRD. Nothing like the Brix.

Being different is cool, but a Pacer, gremlin, etc... are different... Putting Blitz seats into a bandwagon car is not different. Different? Paint the damn thing brown.

Muzzy
07-22-2003, 01:27 PM
well i do plan to use the seat for there intended use not jus for looks. its either the GT-1, bride Pros, Zieg, or Zeta.

but blitz is unique...different

thats y i got the Nur spec exhaust instead of N1...how Nur spec have u seen and how many people do u know with it??

i do other forms of racing and i never go with the crowd...i still do well and when i beat them they trip when they find out wut i am using
im the only one at the track runnin those products

Dousan_PG
07-22-2003, 01:33 PM
see u do have that mentality to be different. that's great, just dont let it compromise yoru choice over quality products

you went blitz over apex, ok. but did u do the research to what produces more power?

im going a certain brand over some other, why? because i found some dyno sheets :)

if u do the reserach its ok

but if you go blitz seat over a brix cuz its different, then you are not a smart buyer.

i choose a Nismo SSS over a normal Nismo 2 way or Tomei
why? i did the research and found out why it is superior to some others.

being differnt is good, but dont let it fog your brain from choosing a better product.

the blitz seat is a prime case. if you REALLY cared about support and holding ability you'd have the Brix at the top of your list.

Muzzy
07-22-2003, 01:48 PM
thank yee

yes i did do research for my exhaust im satisfied with it

i wont let that fog me

as u can see if i didnt care about all those aspects and ask opinions i wouldnt be askin this question right?? i would jus go buy it but i dont wanna be disappointed when i get it so im askin.

brix isnt at the top of my list but Bride as a company is. if the GT1 is comparible to a Zieg or Zeta i'd get the blitz to be differnt....but if it is not...i wouldnt consider it.
by the way im 5'11-6'0 170 so the zeta and zieg would fit me right??
arent they better suited towards tall people??

Not that I care too much about exhausts... but how mnay people do you know of with a Kakimoto Racing Circuit Spec R full stainless? Haha. That sh!t is "different" but I got it just becasue of a GREAT price and full stainless=the sex!

anyway, you are a fine demographic for most Bride models. I am 6'1"-2" and I have the Brix. Most people think Brix is for 5'3" and under or some crap. Horse sh!t. If you would like a seat for taller people, not that YOU need it, go with anything TYPE-L. That is the tall people version. Like ZetaII TYPE-L. Type-S is for short people.

Anyway, why were you considering the Blitz GT3 if all you are listing now is full buckets? Full buckets are cool, but they are a pain in the *** for normal driving. Thin padding, no reclining, and stiff shell... just be ready.

aah your annoying!!!!
"i wanna be different"

well then, then go get a sex change operation, why be like all the rest of the boys, right?

get rid of that horrible mentality!!!!!!

here's the info on the BRIDE seats:

the GT1 is nothing like a bride seat by the looks of it.

bride sizes

u like seein the same ol' **** all the time in other peoples car???

well i dont, i like to see new things i like to originality...i know that kinda sounds like im makin a show car but im doin it he japanese way "form follows function"

like i said dummy if its junk or not really worth it i wont buy it jus cuz it different

have u even sat in the GT1??
u are baseing most of this on looks not dimensions and experience

Dousan_PG
07-22-2003, 02:25 PM
japanese way? dood, SOOO MANY people in japan have a brix, its bride's biggest selling seats. look at all the personal cars of D1 drviers, most amatuer drifters, pros, BRIX

dont try and pull this 'japanese way'. i know what's goign on over there. i wasnt born yesterday. your barking up the wrong tree if your trying to school me on those sorts of things. dont forget who's actually GIVING you info on seats. let's not forget that. im no dummy.

Muzzy
07-22-2003, 02:40 PM
u misunderstood when i said japanese way

i mean get only stuff that is actualy fuctional and worth your money

i know a lotta guys use bride all the driver at mobara testin the neovas had bride seats. i know they are widely used and well respected.

but like i said :"i do other forms of racing and i never go with the crowd...i still do well and when i beat them they trip when they find out wut i am using
im the only one at the track runnin those products"

jus cuz its a lot of people get it and its good doesnt mean its the only seat out there on the market that is good.
i know it would be best to go with wuts proven to be good but i also like to try other things...kind of a pioneer.

DoriftoSlut
07-22-2003, 02:44 PM
Umm wait a minute. Form follows function? maybe for MOST of japanese products, but evidently no one has seen the average japanese tuned automobile... there is so much Hello Kitty, Xax, and other autobacs garbage its funny. Even the Big time tuner cars have little trinkets of novelty all over their cars..

Anyway. To be different, get a seat that you know is functional and you like, and re appolster it green, or orange or something (not pink... I have that planned for my brix). Buying a product whos functionality is compromised by its originality is... meh... i wouldnt do it. Unless you could make it just as functional, or you could live with the sub par functionality if it was not major. For seat... i would not do it. But hey, I have never sat in a GT1. I liek the say it looks, I like the design, but I have not actually tried it. Seeing as why even the Blitz ER34 D1GP car has Brix in it makes me sketchy though. At one time Nomuken had the blue GT1 in, but then a couple rounds later, he was back to the red Brix. Now that is going from a full race bucket to a reclinable on a Circuit ONLY car... it is not his daily driver... Sure we do not now the outstanding circumstances, but either way.... he went brix--GT1---Brix. Not even a Bride bucket... and thats was ina Blitz built car. [pstch, pstch. Thats a slap in da face].

Anyway.. If you havethe dough, the the GT1. I know the Koenig prices are cheapER than the Blitz, and it is an Identical seat (even the Blitz model has "made by koenig". So check with Koenig first.. they also have more color options..

No problem... It should not be a metter of what holds better.. the GT1 has a good design and everything (imo). What may be a factor is shoulder bolster shape, and just all around comfort. The Brix are very comfy... Anyway... if you still want to be different (go for it) re cover them with a different color fabric. You can go to shops and ask the people working there for high quality durable fabric (good fabric stores SHOULD have all sorts of this). then pick a cool color. A kelly green (like kei office) would be pretty damn cool. I like my pink. I am planning on one day doing the outer parts pink,a nd keeping the inner part you sit on red with the Bride logo running up and down... Hmm green would be coolor though now that I think about it....
Anyway you get the idea. I remember when i was little making these pants that were sooo 80's to early 90's liek cartoon dinosaurs. Pink, orange, and green dinos and the background was like black and white tv snow-looking. HAhaha do a seat with that kind of fabric! Hahaha.

are your arms painful from swinging from people's nuts?
you change your seat choice because nomuken doesnt use it anymore?

i have several friends with the Koenig K5000 seats, which made the Blitz GT3 seats.( http://www.koenig-usa.com/sport_5000.html ) I'll say it's the most comfortable seat ive ever sat in. The bolsters are very very comfy, soft and snug. I'm 5'6" 160lbs and i dont slide around in them at all, yet feel comfy. The quality seems to be very good, heck if Blitz had them make seats for them, it
should be good right?
Although i cant compare to any Bride seats cause ive never sat in one or inspected one up close, but the Koenig/Blitz GT3 are very well worth the money.
these and the Recaro SRD are my favorite reclineable seats.

So, is the general consensus that the blitz gt-3's are fairly similar in feel to the recaro srd's? I'd like to pick up a set of bride brix for my car but the price of them is out of my seat budget. The blitz and recaros are right around my budget. Does anyone else have any input on either the blitz or recaro's?

RBS14
07-23-2003, 12:38 AM
actually the general consensus is that you are a moron if you buy the blitz seat because you could get it for cheaper and have a choice of more colors if you buy it from konig. The only difference is the blitz logo, hell, the blitz seat still has a konig logo on it!

The thing is I can probably get a deeper deal on the blitz seats than the konig's. The warehouse distributors that I use carry blitz, recaro, sparco and bride but they don't carry the konig line.

You know that the Blitz GT1 is close to $1000 and the GT3 is about $750+. THATs in your budget for seats, but the Brides are not? This is of course retail, not considering who you may know... Ahhgood luck with whatever any of you decide. Im glad I dont have to decide anymore, I would not change a thing about the Brix...

plenty of places out there now selling zetas for like 650 and brix's for like 800, go with bride, good quality, they only make seats making them their only focus, and plus just look better, go for it

Ya, I was personally looking at the blitz gt3, recaro srd and bride brix. The blitz gt3's and recaro srd's are under $500 a seat at my cost and the brides are still about $750 a seat at my cost. So there is still a $250 per seat difference and $500 per pair difference. If cost were no object the brix would be a no-brainer. I sat in the brix and fell in love. Comfortable but still supportive.

Ahh i gotcha. That sucks kinda then... between the Recaros and the Blitz... I would say the recaros get my nod for reputation, quality, and look, but the Blitz looks like it has a better thigh bolster shape. i have a friend who has the SRDs (a couple actually) and he says he loves the **** out of them (got his seat for $400 iirc and passed up the Brix for the same reason as you).
