s13 jdm gauge cluster

i have a 90 hatch with analog cluster. i just bought a analog jdm custer to replace it since my tach for my sohc motor wont work with my sr. ive done research but most say its plug and play? is this true? also i did plug everything in using my sohc sub harness and it didnt work. is my wiring wrong? do i need the jdm sub harness becuase i have it i just need to splice it with the sohc sub harness connector because mine was cut right after the large connector and the connector didnt come with the cluster....

if this is true does anyone know which wires to splice to what?

just tryed it again and its getting power. and the fuel gauge goes all the way up when i only have half tank and the tach still doesnt work???
