car has a complete harness... it was shortened to fit RHD.
the 2 plugs by the battery were rewired.
here is the problem, the car wont start becuase it has no spark, i put in a NEW q45 ignitor, but it gets hot. Is it supposed to get hot? its hot so i think its a short. where can the shorts be? at the plugs by the battery? or where it was shortened?... or is there another?
Pictures or diagrams or any help would be great...

check the plugs by the battery, pull the pins out of the ones that you cut and a are not using. i had a problem with them shorting and getting hot. it kept blowing fuel pump fuses. now all is well though.

If the only problem is that there is no spark, that wouldn't be battery-related, would it? I mean...if everything else electrical is working...
I would assume the prob is somewhere else in the wiring, but I really have no clue :D

well its a Black top s13 motor into 92-240sx hatch
the car turns...gets fuel, but no spark! What should i check if there is no spark? reminder, it is a new ignitor.

Have you taken a voltmeter to the spark harness (8 pin one on my s14 sr) basicaly check if the sparks are getting +12v
if not, follow the FSM troubleshooting, it will show you how to test (which pin to check) and how to get it running. I did that for every sensor under my hood

you prolly have the wiring wrong,
check srswap.com, i have the s13 blacktop in a 93 fastback, i noticed i only have one brown wire for the 02 sensor, thats the problem im getting.
i used some of the details in the SCC article:
" there are only two tricky parts to these connectors. on the chassis portion of the of the brown connector, there are 2 brown wires, connect the outer one to the br wire on the engine portion of the connector. on the engine portion of the grey plug, both the black/red and blue/red wires need to be connected to the black/red wire on the chassis side of the connector"
i hope that helps, make sure your grey plug is hookep up like this
my car still isnt right, i runs good in the rpm range but low on power, i think i have a wire in the wrong spot for the 02 sensor
