Coilover Disassemble

does anyone know how to take out/off the damper/shock from the coilover body??

is there a special tool?

for jic coilovers, because I need to replace the dampers, but I have to take them out to send them to jic.

The whole thing is the shock body on most coilovers. i.e. remove the top mount and the lower bracket and send them what is left. The threads are typically cut into the shock body itself.
