i noticed on www.projectsilvia.com that they list the S14 94-96 and 97-98 engines seperately and im curiouse as to what is diferent between these two as i allways thought they were identical

the only thing i know is that there are about 20 more sensors on the 97-98 engine then the 95-96

sensors for what? what kind of differance do they make?

Are you sure? 20 more sensors?? Even with additional emission regulations I have a hard time envisioning a need for 20 more sensors..I can't even imagine what they'll sense :)
There's a thread on FA about this. From what I recall, there are fins on the timing cover (or was it above the timing cover) on the latter S14 SRs, whereas the previous generation is completely smooth.
