1994 Honda Elite scooter, with clear title. 4,250 miles.
Originally 50cc and was restricted to a top speed of ~25mph. Around 2004, the stock engine blew. I replaced it with an Arisal 70cc engine, and at the same time I replaced the exhaust with an unrestricted Kuka R1 exhaust. The carburetor was jetted to match the larger engine. After these modifications, the scooter cruises at ~32mph with my 200+ lbs on it. One other minor modification is that the scooter has a Street Glow blue neon tube under it. It can be switched on or off.
These things are ridiculously easy to wrench on, and have a decent aftermarket.
I repainted the scooter this spring in a flat green color. It's RustOleum Satin Oregano, so if it needs to be touched up, the paint is readily available.
The carburetor was just recently cleaned, very thoroughly. The bike runs and idles great. Apart from the wear and tear of 16 years (the grey plastic side skirts have seen their fair share of scratches and cracks), the bike only has 2 things wrong with it:
-The throttle sticks open. I never bothered to fix it because I used it as cruise control. It closes manually, the throttle itself does not get stuck open, it just does not "spring" back like it should.
-The horn is broken. I'm currently looking at it, so it may or may not be fixed soon.
Additionally, the battery is new, it was replaced this spring.
I prefer local pickup, but for an additional fee I can deliver the scooter as far as Chicago. I understand that somebody wanting to use this in the city likely doesn't have means to get it there from the suburbs, apart from a long, winding drive.
As you can see, the "trunk" is big enough to easily accommodate a helmet or small bag or groceries/ fast food/ misc. purchases.
As a bonus, I will throw in a red open-faced helmet. It's not the coolest helmet in the world, but it is enough to get you started.
$750
