Hey guys im putting together the pieces for my SR project, and now im onto the clutch decision. At this point in time the car will most likely just have the usual full 3" Exh, Open Element Filter, a EBC, and a frontmount intercooler until next summer, but I feel the need to install a performance clutch as well. Before this car I daily drove a DSM with a ACT2600 and that wasnt too bad at all... So im pretty much aiming for the same ballpark, a stiff very responsive clutch, with very capable daily driving ability. Thx in advance

I'm in the same boat. Not that it helps any, but I've narrowed my choices down to a stage 2 ACT and aftermarket flywheel, or a single plate clutch\flywheel package from HKS or Blitz (there are one or two more, one from Jun I believe). I haven't heard from anyone yet (I've searched) who has the HKS or Blitz package yet, is there anyone out there rolling on either one? What's the impression, from performance and drivability standpoints?
I have heard a few complaints about the ACT's reliability, but mostly during hard driving; I'm not sure what type of driving you have in mind.

Yup, id say Spec Stg 3 + Fidanza flywheel if you got the money, its worth it to get it at the same time as doing the clutch.

What's the pedal feel like with the spec? How much added effort, and how much slip?
Should be no slip after a 500 mile break in. Pedal should be a little firmer from the pressure plate, of course this can very depending on your car. I cant speak 1st hand on the engagement, but from talking to people its one of the best clutch disc's for power capacity/comfort in the market right now. There are allot of simular ones in the market now though but im not sure about their quality.
