i mountain bike. i normally take my subaru wrx wagon with a thule roof rack.
but on the occasions that i want to use the 240, i use a saris bones 2. it is the most popular trunk rack. it is very flexible in that it can accomodate many types of cars because of its design. i could even put it on my wagon if i wanted to
the 2 means it can hold 2 bikes. there is also a bones 3, meaning it will hold 3 bikes. but with the stress put on the trunk from the straps, that's something i'd rather not do.
the only downside to a trunk rack, is that i initially put the bike on the inside mounts, keeping it closer to the trunk, to put less stress on it. but be careful on the placement of the pedal. mine made a few scratches on the wing, and bumper. since i normally carry my own bike, i just keep it on the outside mounts now. but in the event i carry 2, i just be careful where the pedals are.
i can try to look for some pics, but its late here now, so maybe tomorrow

I believe Thule has a universal optiontht is spoiler compatible. My dad has one on his accord and I think it has a spoiler

there is a bend in most mounts that just go over the stock spoiler. I use a 4strap road gear bike truck rack and it works fine over my spoiler.

just make sure it has the bend. Mine has one bend at the bottom.
Its not that hard dude.... buy it... try it... if does not work... return it.
OR if you buy used... ask to try it.

My buddy had a Trek 4200 XXL (frame size 21"). One day he got a flat at school and he needed a ride. I didn't have my rack on me so we had to put it inside the car. We had to remove both wheels and tetris it inside the back seat. It was a major pain in the ass. I mean, you can do it if you really need to... but I wouldn't. I ride mountains, so putting the bike in after a 30+ mile mountain ride will get my interior pretty damn dirty. Hell, I might've ridden through mud/snow/streams etc... I doubt a road bike will even fit since they're usually larger than mountain bikes.
The only thing about trunk mounted racks that I don't like is the damage it does to your paint. The bottom two straps have rubbed off some paint on the bumper. My spoiler has some chipping from the crank arms/pedals. The rack mounts on the car itself has paint fade. It works great, but I would highly recommend covering all the contact points the rack has to the car.
I found mine on a local mountain bike forum for fairly cheap. My frriend found his on craigslist for cheap. You won't go wrong with this rack, PERIOD! I have mounted it the back of an MPV!

Keep in mind that with trunk mount racks, the bottom leg piece pushes against the frame.
And on s13's, that piece is thin metal. So strapping the rack down too tight will distort the under light piece.
