Steering problems almost died!!! Please help

Ok so the other day i was making a left turn and about half way through, my steering wheel locks up almost hitting the island!:eek: i can turn it back and it will go back with no problem.. then the next day i went to a empty parking lot and turned the wheel and it did it again itll just keep turning untill i turn it back.. it does this with both left and right turns??? could it b my steering column? any info would b great thanks!

ok so i stopped being lazy and found this today weird thing is i used to have that swirl valve pipe connected b4 and after i got it welded shut it diddnt hit till recently.. so im thinking of cutting off the port and welding it shut so its flat
