Dates Feb 27th, March 27th, April 30th, May 29th (tentative), July 24th, Aug 28th, Sept 25th.

Schedule of Events:
8am Gates open
9am Tech
10am-4pm Track is hot
5pm Gates Closed

Registration Fees:
Drivers- $80
Spectator/ Crew $10 (no ride a longs)
Vendors -$300 or product support
Car Show $TBA

Additional Festivities:
Music, DJ's, Giveaways, Competitions
Model and Talent Search
Special Guest Apperances

It will be on the inner oval, possibly have two tracks. Cages are not required, but still recommended. Basic Tech guidelines must be followed. Should be setting the layout soon, stay tuned!!


TECH!!
-Battery properly secured and positive terminal covered
-Engine compartment free of loose items (air filter (http://zilvia.net/f/), hoses, wires, etc)
-No fluid leaks or exposed wires
-Brake lightshttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/mag-glass_10x10.gif (http://zilvia.net/f/) function properly (at least two red functioning brake lightshttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/mag-glass_10x10.gif (http://zilvia.net/f/#))
-Seat properly mounted and secure
-Seatbelts properly mounted and secure

-Tires (http://zilvia.net/f/) are road-worthy and safe (min 3/32 tread depth, no sidewall damage)
-Wheels and wheel bearings are tight and road worthy
-Windshield is free of cracks which might obstruct the driver's vision
-Helmet is SNELL certified M95 or SA95 or newer and free of damage
-No loose items in passenger compartment or trunk
-Roll bar in open cars is required

yes, but you will have to attend one of the parking lot events to run the FD course, otherwise you can run just the infield inside, we dont want anyone crashing or damaging your car if you arent ready for it.

EVENT RUNDOWN

The first 2 events will be held in the parking lot with the last one being held inside the oval, running the Formula D course.

You will need to run ATLEAST ONE PARKING LOT EVENT, to be okay for the oval. WHY? because with more speed comes more risk, we dont want to see anyone crash, we may offer the infield oval to those who want to run inside the oval but arent prepared for the bank = )

well riley, i'll be there in my ka trying to spin these wheels...passengers allowed? track doesn't look hard...maybe need more open throttle stuff, kinda like the JD course at balcony? Maybe a top of 3rd entry with a top of 2nd drifting....anything slower than that might be boring for the guys that drive regularly....and if we could...can we keep the noobs out of this first event....as it may be easier to test and run, make any changes, and re-test with drivers that have experience.

I know it's 40 bucks...so i'm sure noobs will be all over this as well.

This, course looked pretty boring, big 270 degree and then kick it the other way at the end?

I was really thinking you would have got the back parking lot.
Its a little rough on tires, and on a slight grade, a little bumpy, But WAY BIGGER !!
Thats where SCCA used to run before we went to El Toro.

We absolutely need a roll call....maybe a 10 dollar deposit or something....I can just see it being like the "free drift event at adams" and allowing people to make 3 runs for the night.....people that are trailoring their car from a couple hours...might not want to go since it is first come...i mean I live 15 minutes away....but that doesn't mean shit....


-just trying to help you get organized and not have half the community pissed off waiting for the next one to fail....thats where I see this first come first serve heading....granted you will get a big turnout...but the 2nd event wont be if its the same.

on a side note...like I said I live close...and I drive a stock ka...so if you need some underpowered track setup help, i'm usually the guy that sets up the 626drift tracks in the morning for our events. I can also help instruct if you need someone lending a hand to the noobs.

the first course layout is designed for simplicity for the first event, we dont want to get over our heads just yet with designing layouts and what not.
as some of you guys know, theres a gutter running down the middle of the parking lot, so we had to work around it for this first one, i mean sure we can add a jump on the next one but the main priority is to work out as many bugs with this first event as possible.

If you guys have any course suggestions please feel free to post them and we can figure out what works best for everyone.

if theres a gutter down the center of the shiz, than could you somehow set it up so its parallel with a high speed initiation... gutter dropping to extend a drift is legit. or if you could setup the gutter parallel with a racing line to extend a stretched out double left or double right that would be legit too

if possible, i wanna get some sort of idea how the course will be layed out so i can setup my car accordingly...
