i need to set the initial overall timing of the car and i cant find a good write up.

from what i understand, unlike the ka24de, the oil pump is independent and have to set that too, as well as the distributor.
if anyone can help or point me in the direction of how to do this?

i need complete specs! this is all i know,:
1. turn the crankshaft pulley so that cylinder 1 is all the way at the top.
2. remove oil pump and distributor
3. set oil pump at ????? and install how??
4. match mark the dot and mark on the dizzy, clock a little bit left
and install so that the rotor faces cylinder 1??? (1 on the cap is in the bottom right position??)
5. check firing order (1-3-4-2 ? with 1 being in the bottom right position?)
6. start, warm up, disconnect tps rev up to 3grand (3-4 times) under no load,
and set ignition timing to 15degrees BTDC which is oem spec.

this is my 1st single cam, been through 3 twin cams and im completly lost.

i need help with this. any info will be greatly appreciated!

search for nico/zilvia ka24e timing chain installs.. that has all the info you need

if you do everything ''right'' and it still runs like crap (if you had the chain off) you might have to rotate the cam 180degrees, it worked for me but ka's are interference engines so obviously do so at your own risk
