Hey Everyone,
I've been behind on the car repairs for awhile. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a 89 240sx with a SOHC. I have a condenser fan that is located in the front of the condenser as where the DOHC's have them located behind the condenser fans. I took it too a shop to get my a/c system looked at and they told me that I needed new condenser fans. Well I checked out my condenser fan and the fan works by hooking a wire up from the positive side of the battery terminal to one of the pins that is connected back to the thermo switch. A/C works, it's just that the condenser fan doesn't work and I was wondering if it's ok to run the A/C without the condenser fan? Not too sure what i'll break or harm on any other parts of the engine. I'm suspecting that the thermo switch is bad because I checked continuity on the harness that connects to the condenser fan and the thermo switch.? Let me know. Thanks!:hsdance:
