I have a jdm s14 vlsd w/o ABS that I want to put into my S13 w/o ABS. So all I have to do is swap the rear covers, and get longer studs. How long studs do I need? I also don't have the bushings that go in the front mounting holes in the S14 vlsd. Where can I get these? The dealer?

i ordered the bushings from nissan. They wanted 40 bucks for the pair!!!! Well I can't find a longer S14 bolt in millimeters. When I checked Home Depot, all I found was standard. WTF!? Where am I supposed to get these bolts??? I don't wanna pay 10 bucks each at the dealer.

I think I found the bolt size I need for the S14 vlsd. It is: 12mm Diameter, 1.25 threadpitch and 80mm lenght.
I found it on freshalloy. http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB9&Number=67427419&Forum=CatSearch-3&Words=vlsd%20bolt&Match=And&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=67427331&Search=true#Post67427419
Would anyone care to confirm this?

Hey 240 Degrees did u install it yet? I have a USDM S14 waiting to install. Did you ever confirm what size mounting bolts u will need and where to get them from. Also I think I read somewhere that u can use a metal spacer instead of the bushings.

I will install it soon. Soon as in this week if these bolts fit, otherwise, in 2 weeks if I need to get bolts from the dealer. I want to be very sure that these bolts work because I picked up a set of bolts from Ace Hardware for my hood, from the drawer labeled metric, but I ended up jacking up all the threads because the bolts I bought were standard. I'll try to take pictures of the official Nissan S14 bushings if I remember to. :)

The s13 differential bolts onto the chassis directly (metal to metal). The s14 differential uses a rubber bushing to mount itself. I've read that if you don't use the bushing, this could make the s14 differential crack. I just went ahead and bought the OEM front mounting differential bushing(better safe than sorry). I can find the product # for it if you want, but any Nissan parts dealer should be able to do it for you.

The differential i bought has only one of the bushings. I am thinking of going back to the yard where i got it and looking for the other. How much were the bushings from Nissan.
Thanks!!!

the bushings were about $20 each. s14 front mounting differential bolts were about $10 each.

Where did u get the S14 mounting bolts? Are they longer and will they fit the S13?
Thanks!!!
