i want to start out by saying i'm just curious on the build for now but plan to actually build a similar motor in about 6-8 months.

here are some of the things i was thinking about doing to the motor:
Brian Crower 2.6L stroker kit (which includes forged crank, forged connecting rods, and forged pistons if i read right)
i was looking for a good intake manifold, heads, cams, and valve train.
turbonetics T04E with a mishimoto intercoolr and custom piping

i would like some feedback and any helpful advice

i apologize if i mistaken but i assume youre referring to boring the ka24de? in which case, im going to let you know that for the power gains youll receive in boring the motor, it would be more cost efficient to actually turbo the ka24de or swap in another motor

he said stroker, and i don't even think you could bore out .2 liters more on that engine....

You are going to stoke the ka if i understand, right? Well the problem I have with the KA to begin with is it's long ass stroke. You want to make it longer and further reduce your good rev range? Why not be different and de-stroke the ka?

Also if your going to be adding a stroker kit with associated machining work(money) don't use cheap ass parts for everything else. i don't wanna see a 2.6KA fed by busted ass stock sr20 injectors with a fuckin leaf blower hangin off the side and a damn safc runnin the retard rodeo.

avoid the stroker kit.

Not saying its crap, but unless you plan on an over-the-top build for events, its really not worth it for your car. Too expensive for the gains to be had.

I'm asuming this is a daily driver like every other 240sx here, lol.

i do plan on doing an over-the-top build.. no used parts no parts from the sr motor and nothing cheap, the only original part that i'm using is the block

i do daily drive it now but before i start the build i'm gonna buy another s chassis for the motor or to daily drive..

i chose turbo stroker because of the torque gain from stroker and hp gain from turbo.. once its built i think it will be a great machine

agreed... just do it, and since you apparently have a tree that produces money in your back yard throw a dogbox behind it to turn the wheels :)

Please do this and show us! :D I've been dreaming of this setup in an over the top way too, but i'll never have the money to do it. I did have a mild build ka-t with a t3/t4 setup, bottom end build, cams, basics for a build and it was awesome. So much more torque the the sr20. The spool was great, it was boosting around the 3k rpm mark where the same turbo on sr is more the 4k range.

well my budget isnt the best but i dont plan on putting in this motor until its fully built either.. i make about $2500 a month.. thats 1 reason y i'm waiting 6-8 months to even start.. i thought about just doing a mild build but.. GO BIG OR GO HOME!!!!
