so anyways, i found my basketball card collection....

300+ cards...

10years later, and im still not a fan of basketball, sooo, any ideas on what to do with them? or at least where to check if theyre worth something??

I have David Robinson, Michael Jordan, Dennis Rodman, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O'neal, Larry Johnson, Kobe Bryant, etc etc just to name a few :rl:

keep in mind i bought these back in 1994-95 :tardrim:

Bring them to your nearest sports memorabilia or card trading store.

i was checking out beckett.com and..

Also, we will rarely buy cards from the 1980s and 90s due to massive production during that era.

98% of what you have is probably worthless. You just gotta find the 2% of cards that hold value.

My grandparents just gave me a big box of signed baseball cards (over 300) and about 10 team signed baseballs from the 50's, 60's and some 70's. Iv researched a couple of the cards and so far the there really not worth much at all. I found one that was going for like 5$ lol. But I still have alot more to go thur. The baseballs might be worth alot more tho idk. I dont want to take them somewhere and have some one rape me.

Yeah, card market took a big dump. I remember when cards were selling for crazy prices. Now those same cards are worth practically nothing and manufacturers had to go with other ideas like chopping up jerseys and relying on signature cards to try and boost sales. Kind of missed that bus if you're hoping to make a real profit....

...on the other hand. My Father in law saved his collection of baseball cards from when he was a kid in the 1950s and has them in a safety deposit box. Whenever he needs money he takes some out, gets them graded and sells them. Helped put 3 kids through college! If only I could get that flux capacitor to work....

Wow, im moving out of home for college, and found my collection from 94-98. i have like 300+ cards as well...
ive done allitle searching for cards and most are about $1. There is some cards that go up to 5 or 7 if your lucky. I have an MJ card thats worth $25 but i dont know if its worth selling them just cus this is what i did when i was like 8 years old.
I also have some more recent baseball cards but i actually like baseball. Im trying to find an appraiser in SD but like mentioned earlier i dont want to get raped, especially since i dont know what most of them are worth.
but then i need $$ to move out so i dont know haha

:(

Beckett is what i used whe i was younger, it showed all the up to date prices on alll the basketball cards. try that out and than bring it too a collector's store and try and sell them. Check the prices on beckett before selling so you dont get scammed for your money

i have a shit load of basketball and comic cards too, must have spent thousands on them.

most of them are probably worthless, unless you have rookies from the highest end card from that year. like topps chrome, topps finest, sp authentic, etc. i haven't really been into it since the late 90s, early 2000s.

i have some kobe chrome rcs, worth about 300 a piece cash back then. i wonder if they are worth at least 2 hundred now.

I always thought card shops were like weird spots.. always had some weird cards to sell for a rediculous prices and paid less than a pawn shop for cards.. then some arbitrary magazine said your card was worth $50 but then no one would even touch that price.. it was like antiques roadshow.. "This blanket is worth 45k but no one's gonna give you that for it because it's just an old blanket"
