It seems like most people here are into the sleeper look which definitely looks good, but seeing how I went the other route looking at what i've done what do ya think?
thx

In the first pic it looks like you are riding on your rims:eek: .
Hmm I don't really like the kit or the rims, always thought that kit was too crazy looking, too many curves too many holes, just looks odd. And that spoiler is too big, kouki wing is better, just a smaller version in a way. But I guess it goes with that kit.
I like your paint though, you ever get pulled over for those tints?

ive never been a fan of molded body kits, sorry.

I don't think this kit is that crazy, not as bad as fang kit or whatever. It does stand out from the ordinary, which is the point. Yea this wing was the best that i saw that went with my kit. Thanks for your comments...Nope never got pulled over for illegal tint (knocking on wood).

I think you should have went with the sleeper look. would've been nicer, and you could have put all the money that you spent on the kit, paint, and wheels on some really nice wheels.

Ok, yea you're entitled to your own opinion (god bless america). But with all the money you spent on your 1994 Buick Skylark GS you coulda atleast bought a happy meal, and the rest on the down payment for a 240sx.
thx for your comments:D

i'm sorry, you wanted opinions, i think that car has a nice paint job, nice wing, but, eh wheels and nasty kit. if you want mad props for making your car look like that, zilvia isn't the place, try car domain.
geesh, i don't get how people post on a forum asking "what do ya think?", then they get unfavorable comments and start attacking everyone and start saying "you're entitled to your own opinion". The moment you post pictures of your car, especially with it looking like that, you can't expect to get only possitive comments.

Because I get unfavorable comments, doesn't mean I'm going to start attacking everyone. Everyone does have a right to their own opinion, which is great. I wasn't being serious (hence the happy meal comment) just poking fun at Nissan slut, only b/c he doesn't drive a 240 according to his profile.
All of you can kiss my..., oh wait wrong thread. Ha
But seriously
In the end all that really matters is that I like it, and if the zilvia peeps dislike..ooh i should change my car to their liking. Ummm no.
Yes its more of a show car, just craving attention in my youth i suppose. But I wouldn't go as far as calling it "ruined". I realized most people here prefer sleepers, but still posted. Negative feedback normally occurs when you don't fall into the majority of what people like.

I never saw the point in molding a kit, what if it cracks or something when you hit a bump, you'd have to un graft the piece from the body. Its just too much hassle for me.

Well umm... yah...
I'll give you props only because you got a nice clean riced out car. A show car I guess:confused: For those who are into those flashy kits. I like your paint job though =)
Just keep doing whatever makes YOU happy. I'm sure there are people out there that will love your car, I just don't think you'll find to many on here.

Hmm I dont know.... I have a 240 to drift. I do not drift because I have a 240 (taht seems to be the fuckin case lately). If I crash my 240 drifting, most likely (realistically) I will take the good parts off and put them on another 240 shell, but thats just because I have no money. What I would LIKE to do (unrealistically) would be to get a Soarer (SC300) and start building that. Or some other unconventional drift car.
Whats my point? I like my car, but only because I love drifting. If we had all the cool RWD cars Japan has I would probably have a Cefiro or even better a Chaser or Soarer or R32. S chassis are like Civics over there. You guys rag on Civics here in the US, but Imagine being in Japan... you would = a CIVIC owner in the US. I guess the only saving grace is the popularity and huge number of drifters. Therefore you would have a common car, but at least would be using it for a cool thing. Ayyee.... anyway, IMO, dont be a person that cherishes your car because of its label. Cherish it for what it does, and accept that many other cars may do it better....

i like it, sure the money could have been spent on performance stuff and sure it will attract theives, but i still think it looks good. not too ricy in my opinion. it's clean.
but something about the wheel/tire combo is weird though. are the tires' overall diameter smaller than stock?

unfortunately, we're not in Japan, and cheap RWD cars don't grow on trees =/ it would be different if we were in Japan, i too would be driving something else. In the US however, I do think the 240 community is different in its take on rice/racing/modding/etc because we've been kinda on the outside for so long. Not just drift, but cars in general, thats why i say its a counterrice culture (in the US). However, popularity of drifting/240sx these days makes our counter culture popular and "cool". We get a bunch of noobs, poseurs, drift sticker owners who are in to it cause of the new fad. Its kinda like the music industry. Oh well, whatever, we're just gonna keep on doing our things.
doing your own thing is cool
Honestly.Looks Rice.

but atleast everyone is being honest, and i appreciate that.
I'm driftaholic-
Kumho ecsta 711 tires
Front: 205/40/R17
Rear: 215/45/R17
Yea, they're cheap wheels. They came with the car, i decided to keep them. If i were to purchase wheels on my own, i'd probably get ones that resemble the factory SE's
rash- "you Need lowering the car" ?? ok, it's fairly low.

I like it. Sure the sideskirts are a bit outrageous for my taste, but I like the bumpers, dubs, and spoiler. Looks good. Nice paint too. The only thing I see that I don't like are the yellow/dull headlight covers. Clean those up and it'll be bling bling.
Here we go . . . .

he wasnt asking for opinions on his car.
you asked for people's thoughts he gave it to you
u asked for it.
i sent your car to some friends. they laughed. one has seen it in person. he said it was worse in person too. hahahahaha....thank you come again.
edit: and for the record, i'd take a stock car over yours ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

hah, a bit over the deep end don't ya think? tellin me to F*ck off
I don't care whether he asked for my opinion...That's why it's called "a suggestion." Does a calm statement on my part, require an outrageous reply...no
I wonder how many posts of yours are actually relevant and informative, instead of irrational and belligerent.
I'm glad you contribute so much to this site...but there's no need to be an :mrmeph:

That is so true, especially s13s, such common cars, and they are basically the starter cars over there, then you upgrade to RX7s, skylines etc.. Over here you start with civics, then go to supras and rx7s.

Hey Rob, the car looks nice man. I bought some plastic wax from autozone which helps with the yellowing of the headlights.
It is a great showcar, IMO.
Don't take offense to some of the posts, alot of the guys here are functionality people, not necessarily looks.
Keep up the great work man! :)

i'm with dousan on this one. this thread isn't about my buick or rash's car, and we aren't asking your opinion on them. don't start a thread and start lashing out when things aren't going your way. i know your playing, but it still makes you seem childish.
oh, and for those who diss the bui......

i didnt mean to get into like that... i just say that most of us 240 owners, on this board in particular have their head screwed on straight when it comes to tuning cars. it just so happens that the 240 is one of the best low budget f/r handling cars made and that is one of the reasons i bought mine, low price and awesome handling. yeah the drift scene has been growing alot lately and yes we do have posers (ie: "i want to start drifting, where can i get my sr20det?")in the 240 world but hey, i was just sayin that most of us on this board are different from the average import scene enthusiast. :D

Hmmm....absolutely hate the kit, but I think the wheels are nice (for show). They're almost Skyline-esque (that can be a bad thing in some circumstances). But hey, just because I don't like your car doesn't mean I regard that when judging your character. A lot of people here do, but that's thier thing and I won't argue (mainly because I have no room to speak, my S13 is basically stock ).
Sell the kit, get some european headlights (glass), and get a nice front lip. That's what I'd do.

What are you, the offset police? Every post I see, you're talking about offset or "the wheels making the car."
...and if you're going to try to be clever and insult someone, you could at least spell correctly.

If you guys saw the car in person some of you would change your opinions. I'm not one for body kits and all that stuff but it looks real nice on the road. And about the molding, I don't even think he asked for it to be molded, they just did it like that when it was painted. 240 people are different from the rest...we drive into a car meet and we hear "Holy $hit its molded" as we go by, then get on this forum and he gets flamed for it . Rob feel free to tell the whole story about the kit if you'd like. Also, he didn't buy those wheels, they came with the car when he bought it. This forum needs to lighten up. Peace all.
