Well I havent been on the fourm at all in the last 3 months (which i dout you guys even noticed) But ill tell you why anyways.

First my computer went crazy, so I could only go on the computer in her room, and after a month of that crap I decided to save my self 60$ for DSL and cancle my internet.

Also For the last few months my money has been real short with the 3k bill I owe my parents (insurance and depts) I have had very little money for myself.

But somehow in all the money trouble I still work on my car, from Making a great (IMPO) underspoiler, to Fixing things that need to be fixed. Also I sold my steel wheels for 80$! And ended up buying a blown head KA24e with tranny+ another Zenki front bumper for 60$s. Me and my friend ripped it apart and found that the head wasent really blown, but just the timming chain aligen had broken and fell into the oil pan. Which leads me to my question.

Will a 200sx SOHC Head (eather 1.8 or 2.0) Fit on a KA24e.

Yea Yea im sure your thinking, WHY!
Well ill tell you why

Mainly because all the turbo stuff for the 200sx's bolt right up to both 1.8l and 2.0l head, that means for very little money I can turbo the ka, with a head that is made for turbo.

But the only problem I face is that it might not be as good of a head as the KA24E.

But yea to end my story.. I got another job and im going to start working 60 Hours a week. which should give me before taxs about 2k a month, which will pay for my bills my tires, and finally my LSD, and then maybe this project Motor im working on.

Well talk to you guys soon, and soon I should have my rear springs and ill show you a few pics of my car when Im further along.

Ill keep you guys informed as well i can.

Note: Sorry about the spelling :(

The CA18ET head SUUUUCKS! It's trash. It's an evolution of the NAPS-Z motors, they were HEAVILY restricted for emissions purposes.

It won't even come close to fitting anyway. It's designed for a timing belt instead of a chain, plus the bore spacing is wrong, etc. No chance of it. You can't even swap heads CA18ET <-> CA18DET.

200SX turbo stuff is all worthless for the most part. Crap turbo, crap everything. The wheels are nice though :)

A turbo manifold built for the KA24E will work far better. Build your own log style manifold, it'd be less effort than trying to made heads for dissimilar engines.

Thank you very much for the helpful info, thats very good to know. Another quick question, do you know of any head that will fit on the KE24E that is better than its current head, or is their anything I can put in it from another nissan motor to make it have a better touqe band or HP band. I have heard of the Z22 crank but i hear it doesnt work, anyone else know of somthing like that would work.

Nah. There's really no rhyme or reason to play Frankenstein with KA engines. Unless you want to source a JDM KA20 crank, in which case you'll spend a lot of money to... make less power and torque.

Stick with stock longblock. Upgrade pistons and camshaft if you feel the need... but it comes with nice low turbo compression pistons already, the cam is great for forced induction... maybe port the head... Don't bother with this head swapping business. If you want a better flowing head swap in a whole KA24DE.
