if your getting a sr for sure dont waste anymore money on the ka. spend that money on the sr or other things
Why would you put money into an engine your not going to keep? Seems like nobody has any patience anymore...

HKS and Greddy both make good quality intercoolers, turbo timers, etc. Brand names are almost always better, just look for the better deal.

First of all, 4cyl's don't have headerS. They have a header...assuming they're n/a.
Turbo cars have a turbo manifold in place of the exhaust manifold/header on an n/a car. An SR swap should come with the factory manifold.

Its does come with the stock Manni but ill soon replace that with a Greddy. Yes i know all this, not me, my friend. I also hate when ppl say headers so I cant believe i did it... :-) SODDY PEOPLE SODDY what is this Honda Tech? JK!!!!!!!!!!

Okay! Why get an engine you know nothing about, do the research first and see if you can handle it....maintenance, tuning, etc.. Nobody can really tell you what to get or what works best w/ ur engine only you can find out ......Just my lil addition: Do some #### research before that engine gets here or it's just gonna sit there or worse you mess it up. Good Luck on the swap.

Research is what im trying to do by talking to all these people here who know some thing more then my self about the engine im getting. I just want to know what parts people recommend for my car so i can get it running, If I didnt care nor want to research I wouldnt have asked. Ya know. But I do understand what your saying. Thanks for the input . :-)

Knowledge is everything, educate yourself, ask questions. Their are many people that can help you. You may also want to try the Midwest 240sx forum or
[email protected] boostdynamics. My baby is going to his shop within two weeks for a sr transplant. he can send you a price sheet for everything you need and also parts that he recommends for the swap to make it easier on you and him. As for prices on the parts like intercoolers and gauges, intercoolers for the swap range from $859 to $1100 and gauges range from $89 to $200. Figure out what your budget will allow and do your research..RESEARCH is the key to it all. I spent About $7000 for the swap, labor, and the recommended shit along with some stuff I went ahead and got because I knew I would need it in the long run

Recommended gauge to get is obviously "boost". Optional ones would be air/fuel ratio and exhaust gas temperature. Don't get Autometer. I've heard they're not so accurate. Blitz, GReddy, Apex'i, VDO, and especially Omori makes great gauges. Get yourself a turbo timer since you can never be too safe and I assume you'd want your car to shut down properly. Get a boost controller if you wanna play with various boost levels. Also a front-mount intercooler would be a great addition to cool down the turbo. A new air filter would be a good idea. Also, pick up a 3" downpipe from GReddy/Trust or Blitz, that'll help push the exhaust gases more efficiently and most people with SR's have downpipe upgrades. Just keep saving up if you want it done right. My philosophy is, if you're not keeping the KA, you might as well not bother with it at all. You'll save money from getting useless bullshit and having it either sit in your garage collecting dust or sell it for like.. a quarter of the price you paid for the parts. On top of that, if your KA's unmodified and it's working pretty well, you can sell that off to someone with higher mileage on their 240SX already. That'll knock off some of the cost for the SR right there. Just think of it as some form of a "rebate". <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

On the contrary, I have never had a problem with my autometer gauges and gave accurate readings (atleast when I hooked them up they read stock levels)
I would recommend you get a boost gauge, water temp, oil pressure, oil temp, exh temp,a/f gauges. For an intercooler if you wanna upgrade from stock I think spearco makes intercooler for a pretty good price. HKS,Greddy, ARC, and companies have kits but at a little steeper price. I wouldn't recommend you play with your boost until you upgrade your fuel. Your boost will go up a little from stock if you change out your front pipe anyway.

It's best to get a turbo timer and boost gauge. Also get an oil pressure gauge because the oil pan may get damaged in shipping, and oil pressure is obviously key. You can get an upgraded intercooler, or stock side mount, whatever you want to get the thing running (stock will do fine if you are looking for the cheapest way to get it running).
