i have a s13 with a sr20 and the power steering is not working that well its really hard to turn have to crank it with both hands. I just bought the car and the guy gave me all the parts for the power steering becasue he thinks its bad. But my question is could it just need more power steering oil? or should i change all the parts? and if its the oil where can i get some and what kind?

did you put the belt on?
is the pump leaking?
is it making wierd noises from the pump?
did you check the pump at all?

check the power steering pump, and check if the belt is connected.

of course its gonna be a pita to turn the steering wheel without p/s installed (never had p/s but got used to it). You wont know if there is a leak or whining coming from the pump if you dont install it. What you CAN do is install it and find out what is wrong with it. You can add more p/s fluid etc etc to see if it will work.
You have to first install it tho.

try bleeding the system. you could be low on fluid but not realize it because the system is full of air.
to bleed it, open the power steering fluid fill, turn the car on, and turn the wheels left and right and continue to do so. check fluid levels as you continue to do so.
