Wheel Fitment Q

Im looking at doing a 5 lug conversion, with 300Z brake upgrade. My choice of wheels would be 300ZX Twin Turbo wheels. They are 16x8.5" and they run a 245 45 16 tire. Will these fit in the front and rear of the car without any problems? Thanks guys.

Unless you get two 16x8.5 wheels somehow then you will get 16x7.5 and 16x8.5. The 8.5" are for the rears, so if you can find two sets of rears then don't worry about the 7.5"ers.

They will clear Z Brakes, they are made for them after all. I've never seen anyone run rear 8.5" in the front as well as the rear but id imagine it would work just fine given the offset.

People have some fitment issues with the 16x7.5" wheels when they run oversized tires or cant adjust their camber. Most people have to adjust camber to make them clear your suspension.

Thanks for the info. I have a set of twin turbo wheels. 2 16x7.5 and 2 16x8.5. I have an old Z buddy who has a bunch of Z wheels period, like 10 total I think. Anyway I was going to trade him 2 7.5 wheels plus some other stuff for 2 8.5 wheels. I would rather have 4 8.5 in the end, and that way I could at least rotate front to back. Otherwise Im stuck with each wheel in each corner. When I had my TTZ it was like that I and I didnt like not being able to at least go from front to back. So right now the verdict is they should fit?

Yup they should fit without coilovers and clear z brakes. Post some pics when you get them all on.

Dont worry Ill be taking lots of pics. I plan on documenting my entire 240SX life. For myself as well as for others so they can see how things go. Anyway, I hope to have somewhat of a dirary of the car life with me and mods/maintenece/track/strip/etc... Ill post pics when I get it done. My weekend are looking kinda booked here latly, so Itll prolly be about a month, but it will get done. To much money in parts to just let sit in the garage. :D

Same here, I just need Wheels do finish my 5 Lug swap + Z brakes. Maybe your guy would sell some extra 16x8.5" to me ;)

I dont think he willing .. hes got a wheel tire setup for every accation. :D However, if your really interested I can tell you where you can get some Z wheels. Being an ex: 300ZX owner I know the skinny on where to get what when it comes to Z parts. :)
