got an s13 daily driver, upper mounts are cracked, been like that for a while (dangerous?), and wondering if i could replace them with cusco's upper pillow mounts and be alrite, or just replace with rubber uppers from the dealer. i'm looking for performance here, got a number of "goodies" already, and will be doing an entire suspension overhaul. running on prokits and kyb shocks as of now. just wondering cause i heard that using pillow mounts is not good for the daily drivers suspension, and could actually cause harm... let me know guys.. thanks..

Why don't you just get the cusco pillow mounts, you've already upgraded the main suspension components, might aswell go all the way.

It doesn't take a genious to tell you that the transfer of the shock impact has a lot to do with the top hat. Metal is obviously gonna transfer every bump to the body, you'll feel most everything from what I hear. Rubber, will obviously impact a lot of it, and yes, stock is rubber which im pretty sure you knew. Therefore, its allllllllllll about where you want your ride quality preferences at.

I think that people tend to overexaggerate the extra noise and feeling associated with pillow mounts. I have the tein he and to tell you the truth i dont notice that much difference in road noise than before. There is more feedback but thats a good thing. Ive never heard that they can cause harm. Mine is a daily driver and ive had no problems with them. If performance is what your looking for then get them. You will be able to adjust camber as well.
