Got a baby boy now, so I need to get away from project cars for the time being. The S-chassis isn't exactly car seat friendly.

'96 s14 with kouki front end conversion

The good

Redtop SR swap, GT2871R turbo, Greddy VSPL FMIC, Greddy Type S bov, Greddy ProfecB boost controller/boost gauge, Greddy intake manifold, HKS FullAuto turbo timer, Tein Flex coilovers, Nismo 1.5 way LSD, SE five lug conversion with Nismo LMGT4s (18x8.5 +25/18x9.5 +30), HKS Hi-Power exhaust (65mm), C's short throw shifter, Koyo radiator, Circuit sports rear toe arms and upper control arms, Z32 front brakes/SS brake lines, Sparco and SaBelt 3-point harnesses, 6000k HIDs...I think that's about it.

The bad

Right section of subframe is hacked up (broke a frame rail stud about two years ago and dropped a large grade 8 bolt and nut through to fix it) this section is replaceable, however and the required sections for both sides will be coming with the car
Rear brakes need replacing
Could use a fresh set of tires Front cover is leaking, lack of time and laziness have kept me from sorting this out
Interior is gutted I like this sort of thing, but many view this as a negative
The transmission has developed a strange condition in that the car has to be moving slightly in order to get it out of reverse. It's weird but it hardly renders the car unable to be driven.

what the fuck is the difference! lol the difference is you can NEVER EVER drive that car legally in NC, and other states for that matter. the ONLY way to pass inspection is to first find some one that has the exact same car (0bd2) and is willing to run their car for your inspection, then second, find an inspection station willing to scan your registration and run another person's car. shit never happens. Also with the new laws we have here. we dont do inspection stickers anymore, for the fact some ppl would get them off another car and just put it on and if they got pulled over, everything looked fine. now its all electronically done. if you dont pass inspection, you can NOT register your car.

option B. get a wrecked 95 car and change vins.

but seriously both ways, you are just asking for BIG trouble if anything is ever noticed. so yea, it IS a big deal.

that wasn't a rant, just a detailed reason to why its going to be harder to sell this car, than a 95..period.

Not true, in a lot of states inspection is just checking to make sure it has the basics (windshield wipers, blinkers, etc.)

Here in AZ I just sent the DMV a message saying I got a new car and registered it out of this county were there are no emissions.

Also a local shop here has found a way to get make ANY year 240 with ANY swap pass emissions. Its like $250 but its guaranteed to work and many locals have done it.

Anyways, good deal glws.

FFFFFuck... I'm close enough to get it (Roanoke)... but I'm broke...
If I had 6k, you'd have it sold before the sun went down
Looks nice though, glws

So I'm confused. I never knew there was a registration problem with these. If I could drive it in michigan I would trade you and throw some cash on top.

I don't know the emissions restrictions in Michigan, but in VA motor swaps that are not officially documented are a big no-no. This issue becomes glaringly obvious when an OBD II car (like mine) is connected to the emissions tester via the diagnostic port only to find an unrecognizable ECU.

OBD I cars don't have to be hooked to the computer for their emissions tests, so it's much easier to get away with having a car with an illegal motor swap in it.

Fortunately, I worked at a dealer at the time of the swap and was good friends with one of the emissions inspectors, so I was able to avoid this little hiccup.

Normally I would consider it, but right now I really need cash to go toward a sedan or something more than I need to take on another project car.

I have a 2007 Civic Si Sedan (Fiji Blue) I can offer. I owe around $10,000 and they go for $15,000ish. I can get my own wheels and you can take over the payments. I know its not the most appealing trade but let me know if you're interested. Very roomy but still has a good bit of power and a lot of potential

I appreciate the offer, but I really don't want to get into any payments on anything at the moment. Things are tight enough in the wallet as it is.

Biggity for a price drop, I need this thing adios-ed real quick like.

$5,000 takes it, wheels and all.
