Today i just got my 96 240sx 5sp with injen CAI and apexi n1 dual exhaust dynoed for FREE!! i got 37000 miles on the motor so it should be in good condition. But any ways i got max torque to be 141.4 and max hp to 134.4. It was a pretty hot day today so the numbers are probably higher if its colder of course. On average, what do 240s dyno at stock? It seems as though the power drops at around 5,500 rpm so is this a good shift point for all gears or is it better to shift at 6000?

my RS*R exhaust dyno'd at 136.1 and 136.9 torque
ONLY exhaust..no intake or cone filter or any other power mods.
i think exhaust is 70mm...that's probably why :)
stock? eeee..there's a dyno chart some SCC floating around......someone will post it.

On topic- That does sound average. I have seen a couple of other KAs get dyno'd and all were within (+/-)3-4hp
Off topic- why is it that everyone that has Silvia or SR20DET in their SN doesn't have one?:axe:

Glad you said that, I was just about to post how his engine must be severely fux0r3d to dyno that low ;)

HP #s are a little low comparitively, but that can be explained by hot temps and dyno differences...no big deal.
The stock S14 puts out 125-130rwhp and 130-135rwtq...here's the chart someone mentioned earlier:

From my website: http://www.cautioncreativity.com/briand/dyno%20charts.htm - There's more on there form the SCC Project 240SX...
Enjoy your new S14!!!

Actually, you're in line with SCC - Here's the chart of their car with cone filter and N1 exhaust on it - They added a HS header for the 'after' curve...
