Since this is the bigotry(sp) thread, or it turned into that at least. I just have to tell you, I think Miatas are way F*g. No Offense anyone, Please, Please. ;)
If you can fit, Hell, I guess go for it :D

I'll be posting a link to the file in a few days. It was all live. I had some nice drifts, but also screwed up a few (once again, the wonders of live broadcast). They actually caught every error that was made by me and didn't show the countles, countless runs that were right on.
I was afraid to try and take the first corner by doing a choku dori into it like Ryan was (didn't want to spin in front of the cameras).
Gayle Anderson rode with me though - not Ryan - first corner i pushed it just a bit (bummer - little nervous I guess). The second with her was a good one and then they stopped and didn't show the rest of the runs with her in my car (which were error free again - what a bummer - but live, gotta deal with it)
HAHAHAHAHAHA! THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THREAD ON ZILVIA SINCE NITEKIDS BROKE UP WITH HIS GF!
Just to add to the non-racial humor, I think the Mazda Eunoch Roadster is pretty cool too. ;)

Miatas are sexy, but I don't see myself ever driving one on the road, maybe track, but they have been given a girly reputation, and most people don't take them seriously. Most don't even know they are RWD:rolleyes:
But I still think they are deathtraps on wheels, next to the prowler, but this is just by looking at the sizes.

Why was KTLA out there doing a news report on drifting? What was the actual point of Gayle Anderson's report? I'd love to see this video.

Well she reports on extreme yet fun things to do, so the purpose was to introduce the public to a new form (for most of America) of motorsports called drifting (her words) and to let people know that they could come check it out at Hyperfest in LA that weekend. Pretty cool. Falken tires got a lot of promo.

You guys are lucky. The last time a news crew did a story about drifting in Hawaii, they totally stabbed everyone in the back. KGMB 9 came out to the drift session to talk with everyone and get footage of the dori action and said that they'd do a story about how great the drift session is and how it's keeping racing off the streets and putting it on the track. However, when the story aired they instead talked about how people go to the drift session to learn how to drift so they can do it on the streets or to run touge. Also included in the story was how "Initial D" is at the root of all the dangerous drifting on the mountains. They totally lost the trust of the drivers and promoters of the drift session. KGMB even edited the footage so that it looked like some of the drivers at the DS were the ones running the illegal touge. So it's hard for news crews to be trusted now days. who knows what they're going to report on.
