View Full Version : S13 Hatchback Windshield Moulding Sets - Replacement - Advice

If there is one thing I dislike about my hatchback s13, I will say its the windshield mouldings (parts number 90330 and 72810). Mine are all fading and chipping from black to chrome. Its making my car look dirty.

Now, I was thinking of a few options to get these replaced and I have a few questions:

1) Has anybody replaced the sets 90330 and 72810 on there hatchback? If so, how difficult was it to do and how did you do it?

2) Should I purchase these sets and install them myself, or should I have a window shop do it for me?

3) Will a window shop replace these mouldings with their own universal set if I do not purchase the OEM sets? Has anybody tried it?

Was searching for older threads on this topic, but none of them showed images or answered the above questions unless it concerned the weatherstripping.

All feedback/advice will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

well here is the deal. On the rear you want a glass guy to do it. Its not simple to remove and its not easy to put together. Its the kind of thing you should have a professional do.

As for you front windshield goes its the same deal. Removing the windshield to change the seal and trim is a real pain. I have seen people break the windshield trying to do it themselves.

This kind of stuff is better off left to Pro's. There is a reason they exist and do what they do.

Great. So you answered the question about who should install it. Second question is:

Should I buy the set from courtesyparts or should I just take my car to the shop and let them use their universal moulding sets?
