I went out to a junkyard to look for some stuff for my current car, as I am about to be rid of it and get a '89 240sx. While searching around I found 3 240sx's with what appears to be guage clusters in good shape with HUD and digital speedometers, or what appears to be digital speedometers.

I was wondering if these units were rare or what? I'm probably getting all 3, one for myself, so if anyone wants one just tell me and I'll make sure to get everything needed, which brings up my next question, what all do I need to make sure I get out to make this work in a non-HUD car?

search "HUD" and use my username there "dousan36" and you'll find ALL your answers. i've written it up at least 4 to 5 times for people.

I read around some, it's my understanding that the guage cluster itself is plug and play, but to get the HUD unit to work you have to take the unit from the dash and the wiring harness that connects to it and spice it to your guage cluster wiring harness. Is this correct? I'm not really concerned with the HUD unit working, I don't have the windshield with the special unit or whatever for the HUD to display on.
