ive been looking at a few s13 240sx's. I found one that has a few issues which is why im posting. It needs a new ecm and has some wiring issues. The ecm isnt a big deal, they are cheap money but the wiring may entail me doing a lot of work. I dont know if i should buy it or wait for another one to come around. Any ideas?

ya i can work on cars and have the money to spend just not sure where the wiring is going bad. the guy said if he was going to spend the money hed replace the whole harness... if that has to be done im not buying it. But everything else on the car is mint thats why i want it because its worth the fix

Well I'm sure you could probably find a whole harness on here or the other sites for 150 to 200 bucks. But that "may" fix the problem. And if he is admitting that imagine what else may be wrong.

if it has problem with wiring, you probably need new harness for it, if the body is in good shape, i say get it...

original body, no dents or misaligned panels are worth more to me than a harness
depends on the price

Don't buy cars with wiring issues...I did and one thing led to another and I found so many places with cut wires I ended up replacing EVERY harness on the whole car.

i totally agree, u can fix the problem, than run into a different problem later down the road with wiring if not replaced so i say wait for a different one, plus (if you dont mind doing some work) ive noticed in my area that auto ones are always kept in WAY better shape get one of those and just 5 speed conversion or it would be a great start for a project if you are gonna drop a sr or any other motor...
