View Full Version : stud and lug dilemma

Been struggling since thursday evening with this shit. I have a junk rim stuck on my car by one single lug on a stud that stripped itself from the hub and turns freely. I have tried so much shit to remove this wheel, but I'm fucking stuck and frustrated.

My tools are limited. Help me out here masterminds.

Oh, and I'd post a pic but all it looks like is a shitty rim on a crappy car held by a rogue stud and lug.

If you don't care about the rim or the stud have someone torch it off. It would take me less than ten minutes.

i tried this with ichiba studs and wow those bastards are strong and i evens tried a pry bar and it didnt work
call around and find someone with a sawzaw and metal cutting bits(took literally 10 seconds

You can try and drill out the lug nut and stud. drill center till it gets weak and chissel and hammer will finish it off. Time consuming, but it works.
I have done this in the past.

try hammering on a 12pt socket onto the lug nut

why would u do this lol...i jus jacked up the car and wet behind it with the saw zaw and got the stud
