i have a auto 97 kouki, and im having a hell of a time trying to find a obdII tranny. Im gonna get a ka-t setup soon, and i figured it would be better to go obdI for tuning and itd be easier to get a tranny. could i run an adapter with a 95 ecu and run a 95 tranny or how would i go about swapping the wiring over to OBD1? if its too complicated i'd rather not fuck with it and just wait for an OBDII tranny. Any help is appreciated... thanks.

What is "obdii tranny"? Are you trying to find an auto? Are you trying to find a 5 speed that will work with the obdii engine?

What are you trying to do?

He is probably talking about the crank angle sensor on top of the transmission.

Yep!

Drill out the hole, and then tap it for the little screw on the one side. I remember the first time a few years back doing this and not thinking twice about that...I ended up spinning the trans mission while in car, drilling/tapping it, and then putting it all back together. What a PITA at the time when you don't know about it hehe.
