Hello, I'm a new member who is planning to sell my 1990 300ZX 2+2 and get a 95-98 240X. I've had the NA Z for 5 years and want something newer to start moddifying. I know I'll be giving up some HP, but I'll also loose about 1000 pounds. My plans are to get back the HP (maybe with a motor swap) and maybe do a bodykit. After searching this database and parts from vendors, I notice that some bodykits are for 95-98, and then some are for just 97-98. I can't tell any difference in the body from 95-98. Is that something someone could point out? Which would be best for a Sylvia or Skyline type body conversion? What kind of HP is reasonable to get with bolt on modds to the stock KA24DE W/O turbos? It looks like the SR20DET is the most reliable way to get turbo power. TIA for any advice that will help me pick out my new car.

Bodies of both are identical to same-year Silvia except bumpers and trim.

Skyline body conversion = PLEASE DON'T. Looks like garbage.

SEARCH to find other answers.

if you want to get picky,

the 95 has different emissions parts than the 96 and the 96 has different placement of some emission parts compared to the 97. but the 97 and 98 are the same

theres actually 2 types of 1995 model some produced in 1994 and later ones produced in early 1995. the later ones have OBD2 and are similar to 1996 models.
